Accountabilities
- Lead the development, evolution, and maintenance of data services and solutions supporting products, downstream services, infrastructure tools, and platforms.
- Design efficient and scalable data models using appropriate approaches such as normalization, denormalization, and dimensional modeling.
- Develop and maintain data ingestion, processing, validation, security, control, and data provisioning processes for different consumers and applications.
- Assess and improve data architectures and engineering processes to enhance performance, scalability, monitoring, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
- Evaluate data pipeline solutions based on latency, throughput, accuracy, scalability, reliability, security, and compliance requirements.
- Analyze business and data requirements to inform data modeling decisions and help create data products that address strategic and operational needs.
- Develop and maintain APIs that enable reliable data exchange between applications and services.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, observability, and failure-handling mechanisms to improve the reliability of data platforms.
- Evaluate and improve data quality processes and controls to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Apply debugging and troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve issues across data modules and integrated systems.
- Work with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and related cloud services to design and operate scalable data solutions.
- Evaluate programming solutions using Python, PySpark, Scala, and SQL for data processing, transformation, and analysis.
- Apply CI/CD principles and automated delivery practices to data engineering workflows.
- Integrate data with visualization tools to support insightful reports, dashboards, and business analysis.
- Apply Agile practices to plan, execute, and deliver data engineering initiatives effectively.
- Collaborate transparently with other teams and stakeholders, sharing technical knowledge and contributing to a positive team environment.
- Work independently while maintaining strong collaboration and communication across engineering and business functions.
