Job Description

Senior Electronics Engineer

At Teledyne FLIR, you'll help develop the electronic hardware behind industry-leading infrared camera and sensing technologies. As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will work on PCBA design, hardware development, testing, and product innovation, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to bring new technologies from concept through production.

This position is based on-site in Niceville, Florida and requires regular access to laboratory equipment and hardware systems to support hands-on development, integration, and testing activities. We welcome applicants from across the United States.

What you'll do

• Design and develop printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), including schematic capture and board layout
• Test, validate, troubleshoot, and improve electronic hardware designs
• Contribute to FPGA firmware design and development efforts
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and product managers throughout the product lifecycle
• Participate in Agile development activities, technical reviews, and project planning
• Support the development of next-generation sensing and imaging products
• Create technical documentation, application notes, and technical reports
• Develop innovative technical solutions and support intellectual property creation

What you need

• Required: Experience designing, developing, and debugging electronic hardware and PCBAs
• Required: Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer or similar platforms
• Required: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Required: Effective communication, presentation, and technical writing skills
• Required: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Required: BS or MS in Electrical Engineering
• Advantage: FPGA design and development experience
• Advantage: Experience with FPGA development tools such as Intel/Altera Quartus or similar platforms
• Advantage: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and collaboration tools
