Experience with Redis or similar caching solutions
Experience designing and implementing REST APIs (gRPC is a plus) and documenting them with OpenAPI/Swagger
Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems trade-offs (consistency, availability, failure modes)
Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS, or similar) and event-driven design
Experience with Docker and a good understanding of Kubernetes basics
Proficiency with Git and CI/CD practices
Solid experience with automated testing (unit, integration)
Understanding of application security fundamentals (OWASP Top 10, secure handling of secrets and user data, authentication and authorization basics)
Good written and spoken English
Preferred:
Experience with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Graylog, OpenTelemetry)
Experience with high-load systems and performance profiling
Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and infrastructure-as-code
Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB or similar)
Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring engineers
Experience in gaming, e-commerce, fintech, or payments domains
Practical, up-to-date experience with modern AI tools (e.g. Claude, Copilot, Cursor) for code generation, review, and accelerating day-to-day engineering work
