All modes will keep the Paper universe, camera and controls. Beyond that, there is a lot of creative freedom. You will explore new rules, objectives, win conditions, pacing and team setups to create a broad range of fun and replayable multiplayer experiences.
You will:
Design and prototype new gameplay modes
Improve existing Paper Party modes
Define simple, readable rules for one-finger controls
Iterate quickly through testing, feedback and playtests
Balance accessibility, competition, pacing and replayability
Identify weak ideas early and confidently cut or reshape them
Work closely with the Paper.io 2 team to turn concepts into playable experiences
Document your designs clearly
Fine-tune modes directly in Unity whenever possible
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys moving quickly from an idea to a playable prototype, testing it and improving it.

A strong understanding of multiplayer and competitive gameplay
A good sense of pacing, clarity and player motivation
A pragmatic and iterative approach: prototype, test, cut and retry
The ability to work independently and take full ownership
Strong English communication and collaboration skills
Strong Unity experience
Ability to prototype directly in the engine
Experience with mobile controls, multiplayer or party games
Experience working on live games or live content
