About Moloco:
Moloco is an AI-native performance advertising company, bringing the power of AI advertising to the open internet. Founded in 2013 by machine learning engineers who had built AI advertising systems inside the world's largest technology companies, Moloco began from a shared mission: to build that same engine for the open internet.
Today, Moloco is one company with two businesses, built on the same compound AI system. Moloco Ads is our AI-native performance advertising platform, helping mobile app marketers acquire, retain, and re-engage high-value users across the open internet. Moloco Commerce Media is our AI-native retail media platform, enabling retailers and marketplaces to turn their platforms into thriving ad businesses. Both are powered by CARA (Compound Ad Recommendation Architecture), the AI system behind every Moloco product.
At Moloco, we bring together those who've already solved hard problems and those with the drive to. Here, we work on some of the complex problems in AI advertising, at a scale and level of sophistication very few companies can offer. Come build what's next.
The Impact You'll Be Contributing to Moloco:
As a Senior Growth Director at Moloco, you will own the growth and commercial strategy for Moloco’s most strategic, high-impact customers, representing a material share of company revenue. This role operates as a business leader and decision owner, accountable for multi-year revenue expansion, executive partnerships, and shaping how Moloco goes to market.
You will be responsible for setting the growth agenda, securing net-new revenue streams, and positioning Moloco as an indispensable, long-term growth partner. Your work will directly influence revenue trajectory, product strategy, and commercial standards across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Revenue Growth & Commercial Leadership
- Own and deliver material, multi-million-dollar revenue targets across a portfolio of Moloco’s most strategic and complex customers, with accountability for forecast accuracy, risk management, and long-term expansion.
- Secure net-new lines of business while accelerating growth within existing accounts through new geographies, business units, use cases, and product adoption.
- Design and lead multi-quarter and multi-year joint business plans with executive stakeholders, establishing clear growth hypotheses, investment tradeoffs, and accountability on both sides.
- Lead complex commercial negotiations with economic buyers, including pricing, contract structure, and long-term partnership agreements.
- Maintain executive-level rigor across pipeline health and forecasting, making high-judgment calls on prioritization, resourcing, and downside mitigation.
- Shift customer conversations from short-term performance metrics to long-term LTV, durable growth, and strategic investment, influencing how customers allocate meaningful budget over time.
Executive Partnership & Stakeholder Management
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with VP and C-suite stakeholders, positioning yourself as a strategic advisor in the client’s boardroom.
- Navigate highly complex customer organizations, mapping power, decision-making, and incentives, and ensuring consistent access to — and alignment with — economic buyers.
- Influence budget allocation and long-term investment decisions through clear articulation of Moloco’s strategic value.
- Demonstrate strong executive presence, delivering high-altitude communication that simplifies complex performance data into actionable, business-level insights.
- Lead senior executive business reviews and strategic planning sessions, reinforcing Moloco’s role as a category-defining growth partner, not a point solution..
Product Advisor & Market Translator (Internal and External)
- Act as a trusted product and growth advisor to customers, leveraging deep expertise in mobile advertising, attribution (MMPs), and programmatic performance levers.
- Translate Moloco’s machine learning capabilities and emerging product initiatives into clear business value propositions, shaping how products are positioned and sold.
- Lead product demos and strategic solution discussions with confidence and credibility.
- Maintain strong data fluency and a “hands-on-keyboard” mindset when needed, independently pulling and analyzing data to drive insights and recommendations.
- Partner with Product, Data Science, and Engineering as a market-facing thought partner, influencing roadmap prioritization based on material revenue opportunity and customer signal.
- Play a critical role in early-stage or ambiguous initiatives, helping define use cases, success metrics, and paths to scalable product-market fit.
Upleveling Sales & Cross-Functional Teams
- Set and model commercial excellence standards for strategic selling, executive engagement, and value-based negotiation.
- Serve as a coach and mentor to Growth Strategists and GMs, actively developing capabilities in deal strategy, executive presence, and opportunity qualification.
- Provide clear, concise written and verbal updates to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and momentum.
- Proactively codify and share best practices, playbooks, and market insights that raise the bar for how Moloco sells and grows.
- Influence cross-functional teams through clarity of direction, strong judgment, and outcome ownership, even without direct authority.
Culture, Ownership & Ways of Working
- Act as a culture carrier and standard setter, reinforcing accountability, rigor, and long-term thinking across teams.
- Demonstrate a plays-to-win mindset by taking ownership of ambiguous, high-stakes problems and driving durable solutions.
- Thrive in low-structure environments by creating clarity for others, not just navigating ambiguity personally.
- Bring a protagonist mindset, taking ownership and doing whatever it takes to solve problems, regardless of title or function.
- Embody a growth mindset: continually learning, seeking feedback, and contributing constructively to make the team — and Moloco — better.
Skills, experiences, and mindset that will help you succeed
- 8+ years of experience in growth, sales, account management, or commercial leadership roles within ad tech, mobile advertising, or performance marketing, with a track record of owning large-scale revenue outcomes.
- Proven track record of driving strategic revenue growth with enterprise or strategic customers, including complex deal negotiation.
- Proven ability to operate as a peer-level advisor to senior executives, influencing long-term strategy and investment decisions.
- Strong understanding of the mobile advertising ecosystem, attribution/MMPs, and programmatic performance marketing.
- High level of fluency in growth and performance metrics, with the ability to translate data into executive-level narratives and business impact.
- Strong product and technical fluency, paired with sound commercial judgment and prioritization skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly in data-driven and executive contexts.
- Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- High ownership mentality, strong sense of urgency, and comfort operating autonomously.
- Collaborative, low-ego approach with a passion for building, mentoring, and winning as a team.
