Who we are looking for:
The Senior Clinical Practice Guideline Developer plays a pivotal role in advancing the Society’s strategic mission by leading the lifecycle of ASCO’s evidence-based clinical guidance products. Operating at an advanced level of development expertise, the Senior Developer collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams of global oncology experts to design and execute rigorous, efficient systematic literature reviews. This role is central to modernizing ASCO's methodology through the strategic integration of AI-driven research tools and digital guideline development platforms, enabling the delivery of high-impact clinical practice guidelines, rapid updates, and dynamic "living guidelines.Responsibilities
· Guideline Development & Methodology: Lead the end-to-end design and execution of clinical practice guidelines and other guidance products. Oversee rigorous evidence-based systematic literature review development—including protocol development, literature search and screening, data extraction, quality appraisal, and report writing—in strict alignment with the ASCO Practice Guideline Methodology Manual.
· Expert Panel Leadership: Provide advanced methodological expertise to guide and support Guideline Advisory Groups, expert panels, and internal working teams throughout the guideline development lifecycle.
· Platform & Technological Innovation: Champion and integrate advanced guideline development platforms and AI-augmented tools to optimize workflows, including literature search and screening, citation management, data extraction, quality appraisal, and evidence synthesis.
· Clinical Tools & Project Delivery: Spearhead the creation of guideline-derived clinical tools, pathways, informatics, and resources to support dissemination, implementation, and evaluation initiatives.
· Process Optimization: Drive continuous quality improvement and standardization initiatives to streamline systematic reviews and accelerate guideline development timelines.
· Strategic Reporting: Deliver expert briefings and reports on guideline content, methodology, and informatics to the Board of Directors, Evidence-Based Medicine Committee, and other key governance stakeholders.
