Job Description:
Alation helps the world's leading organizations build trusted, AI-ready data foundations so people and AI agents can make smarter, faster decisions. We're passionate about helping our customers unlock the value of their data—and we're looking for people who are excited to help us continue that mission.
We're looking for a Senior Manager, Marketing Operations, to help evolve and scale our global marketing operations function. This is an opportunity to own the systems, processes, and automation that power our go-to-market engine while partnering across Marketing, Sales, and Revenue Operations to improve how we execute and scale.
You'll combine deep expertise in Marketo and Salesforce with a passion for process improvement, automation, and AI to deliver operational excellence. Success in this role requires someone who enjoys solving complex problems, collaborating across functions, and continuously finding better ways of working.
Own end-to-end campaign operations, from intake through execution, QA, deployment, and performance tracking.
Build and optimize Marketo programs, email campaigns, nurture journeys, workflows, forms, and Salesforce campaigns.
Lead marketing automation initiatives that improve campaign execution, operational efficiency, and scalability.
Manage lead lifecycle operations, including lead imports, scoring, routing, consent management, database health, and Marketo/Salesforce integrations.
Partner cross-functionally with Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Digital, Sales, and Revenue Operations to support integrated campaigns, product launches, and GTM initiatives.
Build audience segmentation in 6sense and support targeted ABM campaigns.
Optimize AI SDR operations and inbound lead management to improve conversion and support Alation's organic pipeline goals.
Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to streamline processes and improve marketing productivity.
8+ years of Marketing Operations, Marketing Automation, or Revenue Operations experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment.
Expert-level experience with Marketo and strong Salesforce expertise.
Proven experience building and optimizing email marketing, nurture campaigns, marketing automation, and lead lifecycle management.
Experience with 6sense or similar ABM platforms.
Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills with a track record of improving operational performance.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, and Operations.
A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, embraces continuous improvement, and leverages AI to work more efficiently.
In this role, you'll:
Build scalable marketing operations that improve speed, quality, and execution.
Increase automation while reducing manual work across the marketing organization.
Strengthen lead management, attribution, and database health.
Improve AI SDR operations and inbound pipeline conversion.
Become a trusted operational partner to Marketing and GTM teams.
At Alation, we believe great teams are built by people who raise the bar, move with urgency, win through results, build exceptional teams, and act like owners. We're looking for someone with a proven track record of success, a collaborative and team-first mindset, genuine enthusiasm for our mission, and a passion for using AI to work smarter and create greater impact.
