What are we looking for?
BetterHelp is seeking an experienced, innovative, and operationally-minded Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to lead our Psychiatry Practice Management team.
This role sits at the intersection of clinical excellence, provider operations, quality assurance, compliance, and product innovation. As a senior clinical leader supporting BetterHelp's psychiatric provider network, you will help shape how psychiatric care is delivered at scale through technology while ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
You are an experienced psychiatric clinician who understands both the realities of direct patient care and the opportunities technology creates to improve access to mental healthcare. You are equally comfortable consulting on complex clinical situations, analyzing operational data, improving processes, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and coaching team members.
You thrive in fast-paced environments, embrace ambiguity, and are excited by the opportunity to build and scale psychiatric operations as BetterHelp continues expanding its behavioral healthcare services.
What will you do?
Clinical Quality & Compliance
- Lead a team who conducts audits and reviews of provider activity and clinical documentation as needed.

- Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, Credentialing, and Patient Safety teams to ensure adherence to applicable regulations and professional standards.
- Stay current on evolving telehealth, prescribing, and psychiatric practice regulations and communicate relevant changes throughout the organization.
- Develop strong relationships with providers to improve engagement, satisfaction, retention, and platform success.
- Identify trends impacting psychiatric providers and recommend operational improvements.

- Maintain a small caseload of psychiatric clients on the platform (approx 2-3 clinical hours per week) to understand the lived experience of our providers.
- Support insurance and payer-related quality initiatives as BetterHelp expands its healthcare offerings.
What will you NOT do?
- You will NOT worry about "runway", "cash left", or "how much time we have until the next round". We have the startup DNA but we're fully backed and funded, all the way to success.
- You will NOT be confined to your "job". You will get involved in product, marketing, business strategy, and almost everything we do.
