At Preply, we’re all about creating life-changing learning experiences. We help people discover the magic of the perfect tutor, craft a personalised learning journey, and stay motivated to keep growing. Our approach is human-led, tech-enabled - and it’s creating real impact.
We’ve just reached unicorn status with a $150M Series D, accelerating our vision to transform education through human-led, AI-enhanced learning. Today, 100,000+ tutors teach 90+ languages to learners in 180 countries - and we’re only getting started. As a category-defining company, we’re shaping what the future of learning looks like at global scale.
Every Preply lesson sparks change, fuels ambition, and drives progress that matters. Joining Preply means helping define the future of education at global scale, and building something that truly matters for millions of people, every day.
Reporting to the Sr Director Brand Strategy, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how Preply shows up to our global tutor community and the broader education ecosystem.
You’ll sit at the intersection of brand, supply marketing, and long term impact, ensuring that how we speak to tutors reflects who we are as a company and the value we bring to their professional growth. You’ll build a cohesive supply brand narrative that connects positioning, educational initiatives, and their experience.
Working closely with the Supply Engagement team and cross functional stakeholders, you’ll translate strategic brand thinking into meaningful initiatives that strengthen trust, pride, and credibility among tutors. From educational content formats to thought leadership initiatives, you’ll help elevate Preply’s reputation not just as a platform, but as a long term partner in tutors’ careers.
This is a senior, expert-track leadership role: its seniority comes from the scope of impact and influence it drives, not from the size of a team.
You’ll own initiatives that shape how tutors perceive Preply globally, strengthening our image externally in the education space. By building long term brand foundations and scalable content ecosystems, you’ll help position Preply as the leading destination for ambitious educators who want to grow, succeed, and belong.
About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Tutor Brand / Supply Comms to build and elevate the Preply brand within our global tutor community.
This is a long term brand building role focused on shaping how tutors perceive, experience, and advocate for Preply. You will define the narrative for our tutor audience and lead high impact initiatives that strengthen trust, pride, and professional identity within our community.
This is not a supply acquisition or performance marketing role. Instead, you will focus on strategic positioning, community storytelling, educational content initiatives, and long term reputation building for Preply as the best place for tutors to grow their careers.
Tutor Brand Narrative and Positioning.
Own and evolve the brand narrative for our tutor community together with the Supply Engagement team
Ensure we are seen not just as a platform, but as a long term partner in tutors’ professional growth.
Clarify and articulate Preply’s value proposition for tutors across different personas and maturity stages.
Ensure consistency between what we promise tutors and what they experience.
Educational and Thought Leadership Initiatives that elevate Preply’s image in the broader education space
Develop long term content initiatives that elevate tutors professionally, such as educational content channels, expert series, learning formats, and video programs.
Build scalable content ecosystems that position Preply as a leader in online education
Partner with educators and internal stakeholders to create meaningful, high quality educational content.
Identify strategic opportunities to build credibility among educators globally.
Own budget and vendor relationships: agencies, tutor ambassadors supporting tutor-facing content.
Shape how Preply talks to tutors about AI’s role in teaching, translating our human-led, AI-enhanced vision into content that builds tutor confidence rather than anxiety about their professional relevance.
Define and own success metrics for the tutor brand, such as tutor trust/NPS, retention among top-tier tutors, and reach and engagement of thought-leadership content.
Partner directly with Supply/Tutor Success teams on major narrative moments and strategic bets.
What you need to succeed
10 + years of experience in brand comms aimed at partner marketing in a fast paced/ tech environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a sharp eye for clarity and tone
Strong strategic storytelling and positioning skills
Experience building long term brand initiatives, not just short term campaigns
Ability to think in formats and ecosystems such as content channels, series, and education programs
Deep understanding of community building and professional identity
Strong cross functional collaboration skills
Track record of driving brand impact at scale through influence rather than headcount, comfortable owning outcomes without a direct-report team
Working understanding of LLMs and generative AI, both as an optimization of the content that we produce, and as a tool to scale content production (drafting, localization, personalization) without losing quality or voice
