Within the Experience Foundations team for AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction), we are seeking a Senior Principal Content Strategist for Forma Design. This team designs the AI-native industry cloud for the AEC lifecycle, enabling teams to make data-driven planning and early-design decisions, connect workflows, and drive collaboration. Reporting to a Senior Manager of Content Strategy, this role will define and advance content strategy that drives clear, coherent, and trusted customer experiences across Forma Design and adjacent platform experiences. 

You'll work closely with content designers on other products with touchpoints to Forma, along with cross-functional partners, to connect user journeys and support Autodesk's broader platform vision. In addition to shaping user experiences, you will create scalable frameworks, governance models, and strategic approaches. You will also develop new AI-powered processes that help teams deliver high-quality experiences across products and customer touchpoints.

Responsibilities 

• Define and drive content strategy across Forma Design and Autodesk’s connected platform, shaping product direction and customer journeys across in-product experiences, learning, agentic and conversational AI experiences, and other customer touchpoints 

• Partner closely with Product, Design, Engineering, Research, Data Science, and other cross-functional roles to ensure content strategy is integrated early and effectively into product development and informs key product decisions 

• Design learning and onboarding experiences that are intuitive, approachable, personalized, contextual, and aligned with Autodesk's AI-forward product direction 

• Pioneer AI-native content workflows, scaling content output and quality 

• Develop scalable frameworks, governance models, and operating practices that help teams deliver high-quality, consistent experiences across products 

• Proactively identify and lead terminology, naming, and content system efforts that support connected user experiences and long-term platform growth 

• Define success metrics for content quality and use research and cross-functional partnerships to continuously iterate and improve  

• Track trends and developments in content strategy, content design, and AI, leveraging and sharing this knowledge to strengthen content practices across AEC Experience Foundations 

• Scale the impact of content strategy across Forma and AEC by mentoring other strategists, offering strategic guidance to partners, and sharing practices that strengthen content quality and cohesion across teams 

Minimum Qualifications  

• 10+ years of experience in UX writing, content design, content strategy, product design, service design, conversation design, or a related experience design discipline 

• Proven experience delivering high-quality, in-product content design and strategy for complex digital product environments and/or software applications 

• Experience building AI-native workflows and a passion for challenging the status quo 

• Expertise distilling complex and technical subject matter into clear and concise written, visual, or video content  

• Experience defining product direction alongside Product, Design, Engineering, and Research 

• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain design rationale and influence senior stakeholders 

• Demonstrated commitment to customer-centered design, iteration, and evidence-based decision-making  

• Track record of working effectively in fast-moving, AI-driven environments where product capabilities evolve quickly and content must keep pace 

• Expertise designing in-product onboarding and learning experiences that are engaging, personalized, and contextual, and evolve traditional support models  

• Experience designing AI-powered user experiences 

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Design, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience  

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience in the AEC industry  

• Deep expertise in conversational UX, content design for AI-driven experiences, and designing guidance that helps users navigate complex workflows  

• Passion for applying product design, AI, and content strategy to empower designers, makers, and builders

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location.
