Help Us Build The Future of Travel

At Airalo, we're making it easier for people to stay connected wherever they travel. As the world's first eSIM store, we help millions of travelers access affordable mobile data in 200+ countries and regions around the world.

Today, we're a team of 400+ people across 60+ countries, building a product used by travelers every day. We've grown quickly, but we've worked hard to keep what matters: trust, ownership, and the freedom for people to do great work without unnecessary layers or bureaucracy.

We're fully remote by design, genuinely global, and united by a shared mission to make travel simpler for everyone.

Contribute to Airalo’s Design System, improving consistency, accessibility, quality, and efficiency across products.
Mentor other designers through feedback, pairing, critique, and shared practice.
Help strengthen the Product Design Guild by raising the bar for craft, collaboration, research-led decision-making, and thoughtful use of AI.

Must-haves:

6+ years or similar of dedicated experience in product design at a tech startup, scale-up, product-led company, or product-focused agency.
A strong portfolio showing high-quality UI, thoughtful interaction design, strong product thinking, and measurable impact.
Extensive experience designing, testing, and shipping native mobile and web applications for B2C products.
Ability to lead ambiguous design problems from discovery through delivery, balancing user needs, business goals, technical constraints, and product strategy.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English, with the ability to explain design rationale clearly to cross-functional partners and senior stakeholders.
Advanced Figma and FigJam skills, with experience creating flows, prototypes, product specifications, and production-ready design assets.
Advanced experience working with design systems, native mobile guidelines, responsive design, accessibility, and product quality across mobile and web.
Advanced experience with motion, prototyping, or interaction details that bring product experiences to life.
Experience working in Lean and/or Agile product development environments, collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, Research, Content, Data, and Growth.
Able to facilitate workshops, critiques, ideation sessions, and alignment conversations.
Experience using AI and emerging tools to improve the design workflow beyond simple prototyping.

Good to have:

Experience in telecommunications, travel, marketplaces, subscriptions, or global consumer products.
Knowledge of eSIMs, GSMA-related technologies, or mobile connectivity services.
Experience partnering deeply with Research, Data, Growth, or Content Design teams.

You should apply if…

You lead through craft, clarity, and systems thinking. You can turn complex problems into simple, well-crafted experiences while considering journeys, patterns, accessibility, content, edge cases, and scale.
You can own ambiguous problems. You do not need every answer before you start. You ask good questions, define the path forward, make smart trade-offs, and keep momentum without waiting to be told what to do.
You care about outcomes, not just output. You use research, data, customer feedback, and product strategy to make decisions that improve the user experience and support business goals.
You communicate with confidence and humility. You can explain design decisions clearly to designers, engineers, product managers, and senior stakeholders without becoming defensive.
You raise the bar for the design community. You give thoughtful feedback, invite critique early, mentor others, and contribute to a Product Design Guild where designers learn and improve together.
You are curious about AI and new ways of working. You actively explore how AI and emerging tools can improve design workflows, speed up learning, and help teams make better decisions.

This isn't for you if…

You only want to design screens. This role requires shaping problems, influencing direction, collaborating across disciplines, and staying involved from discovery through delivery.
You need certainty or close direction to make progress. Senior designers at Airalo are expected to move through ambiguity, create momentum, and make thoughtful decisions independently.
You avoid feedback or critique. Our design culture depends on sharing unfinished work, challenging ideas respectfully, and changing direction when the evidence points elsewhere.
You optimize for perfection over impact. We care deeply about quality, but we also need to make pragmatic decisions, learn quickly, and ship improvements.
You are not interested in customers or the community. Speaking to customers, learning from them, and contributing to the Product Design Guild are central to how we build better products.
