Our journey: Founded in 2017 by Alexandre and Steve, Qonto has grown to 1,700 Qontoers serving over 750,000 customers across 8 European countries. We have been profitable since 2023, and we are just getting started.

Our beliefs: We hire for skills and potential. With 80+ nationalities, 45% women, of which 56% of women in our leadership team, diversity isn't a program; It's who we are. We've built a discrimination-free hiring process because the best teams are built on merit.

AI at Qonto: AI is deeply embedded in how we work (here) - Every Qontoer gets unlimited access to the best AI tools. We want people who experiment without waiting for permission, push AI beyond the obvious, know when to trust it, and when to question it.

➡️ Mission

Join us as an Android Engineer and help us build the mobile experience that 600,000+ European businesses rely on every day to manage their finances. You'll own product-critical features end-to-end — from technical design to rollout — in a large, modular Kotlin codebase where craft and velocity both matter. You'll work closely with Product, Design, Backend, and Frontend.

➡️ What you'll do

• Own features end-to-end: You'll take ownership from discovery and technical design through implementation, rollout, and iteration on features that help businesses pay, get paid, and stay in control.
• Drive technical decisions in your squad: You'll shape solutions with Product, Design, and Backend by clarifying tradeoffs across UX, performance, security, and time-to-market.
• Raise app reliability and maintainability: You'll improve architecture, performance, and test strategy to scale the app without compromising stability.
• Tackle complex mobile challenges: You'll contribute to real-time synchronization, resilience patterns, and smooth navigation in a modular codebase with ~1,000 modules.
• Grow the team's Android craft: You'll lead code reviews and technical discussions, share patterns, and mentor peers to raise the bar on quality and delivery.

➡️ What we're looking for

• Strong Android native experience: You've shipped and maintained production features with Kotlin and are comfortable owning technical decisions end-to-end.
• Quality-driven mindset: You care about testing (unit, UI, snapshot), clean code, and pragmatic standards that keep teams moving fast.
• Problem-solving approach: You thrive in ambiguity and turn complex constraints into simple, robust solutions.
• AI-native workflow: You use AI coding tools daily to amplify your output — not just experiment with them.
• Collaborative by nature: You're fluent in English and contribute through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentorship across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

➡️ What we can offer you

• An AI-first engineering environment: Unlimited access to Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot — and a culture that expects you to use them to raise the bar, not just go faster (click here to read our vision statement on AI)
• Engineering standards that scale: Strong code review culture, continuous refactoring, and a focus on correctness in a regulated context.
• A technically demanding domain: Fintech constraints — security, compliance, real-time data — push you to solve problems most mobile engineers never encounter.

➡️ Our methodology, the Qonto Way

• We value upfront technical design, team reviews, and smart slicing — quality drives the velocity our customers need.
• Our org assigns one team lead per project across stacks, giving your team a clear mission and full autonomy on how it operates.
• Our lean toolbox, Kaizen and PDCA, lets you monitor and drive continuous improvement collaboratively with your peers and manager.

➡️ Our stack & practices

• Kotlin-first & modern concurrency: 100% Kotlin codebase with Coroutines + Flow throughout.
• Architecture: MVVM + Clean Architecture with modular design (~1000 modules).
• UI direction: New screens built with Jetpack Compose, with a large share of legacy views already migrated.
• CI/CD & quality: GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Firebase Test Lab, Sonar, Fastlane.
• Testing culture: 26k+ unit tests, 14k+ snapshot tests, 500+ UI tests.

➡️ Your future team

As an Android Engineer, you will join one of Qonto's squad teams, each organised around a clear project mission, with one team lead and full ownership of a product scope. You'll be part of a 140+ mobile engineering community within a 500+ Product Engineering department, working in focused teams of 5 to 10 people alongside Product, Design, and peers from Frontend and Backend.
