Why Cast AI?
Cast AI is an automation platform that operates cloud-native and AI infrastructure at scale. By embedding autonomous decision-making directly into Kubernetes and cloud environments, Cast AI continuously optimizes performance, reliability, and efficiency in production.
The old way doesn't work. As Kubernetes and AI environments grow, manual decisions don’t. Cast AI replaces tickets, alerts, and manual tuning with continuous automation that adapts infrastructure as conditions change. Efficiency and cost savings follow naturally from that automation.
Over 2,100 companies already rely on Cast AI, including Akamai, BMW, Cisco, FICO, HuggingFace, NielsenIQ, Swisscom, and TGS.
Global team, diverse perspectives
We're headquartered in Miami, but our impact is international. We take a global and intentional approach to diversity. Today, Cast AI operates across 34 countries spanning Europe, North America, Latin America, and APAC, bringing a wide range of perspectives into how we build and lead.
Unicorn momentum
In January 2026, we achieved unicorn status with a strategic investment from Pacific Alliance Ventures, the corporate venture arm of Shinsegae Group (a $50+ billion Korean conglomerate). Our valuation now exceeds $1 billion, and we're just getting started.
Join us as we build the future of autonomous infrastructure.
About the role
DBO is one of Cast AI's newest products. It continuously improves PostgreSQL and MySQL performance through automated tuning actions and AI-driven query optimization, reducing the manual work required to keep production databases fast and reliable.
You'll own DBO's go-to-market motion end to end. The product already has paying customers and measurable performance results. What it doesn't have yet is a dedicated commercial narrative, a validated ICP, or a repeatable path from first conversation to closed deal. You will have direct access to early customers, Product, Engineering, and company leadership, with the mandate to turn market evidence into DBO's go-to-market playbook.
This is a hands-on, research-heavy role, and a different kind of PMM job than owning a mature product line. You'll spend real time talking to early customers yourself, running tests on what messaging and channels actually work, and building ICP and positioning from scratch rather than refining something that already exists. We operate automation-first and market-obsessed, so you're expected to treat every test and every customer conversation as an input, not a formality.
You'll report to the Director of Product Marketing and work closely with DBO's Product and Engineering leadership, with support from Content, Growth, Design, and Sales Enablement as this work scales.
What success looks like in 180 days
- A validated ICP and buyer persona, tested against DBO's existing customer base and new prospects.
- Positioning and messaging tested and refined through real conversations, with a clear point of view on how DBO's story differs from point solutions already in the market.
- Early evidence of which channels and content actually convert, from structured tests rather than assumptions.
- Consistent, quantified proof points from existing customers, backed by real performance data.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of product marketing experience in a technical B2B category, with demonstrated depth in at least one relevant market.
- Real experience building an ICP and messaging architecture from scratch, for a product where the buying motion hasn't been fully validated yet.
- Demonstrated ability to build credibility with technical practitioners and executive buyers.
- Track record of running customer interviews and extracting patterns to refine positioning.
- Excellent writing, backed by relevant work samples: positioning, launch content, sales narratives.
- Experience designing GTM experiments and changing direction based on results.
- Basic data literacy, including defining success criteria and reading funnel or adoption data.
- Experience with win/loss research and competitive deal support.
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
What would make you stand out
- Background in database performance, reliability tooling, or observability markets.
- Experience operating successfully in an early-stage or ambiguous product environment.
- Experience building the initial go-to-market motion for a product without an established playbook.
- Evidence that AI meaningfully improved a PMM outcome, speed, quality, reuse, or measurement.
- Commercial judgment around pricing, packaging, and willingness to pay, even where Product owns the final call.
What would make you stand out:
- Owned positioning or GTM for an infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering product.
- Background in AI infrastructure, data platforms, or developer tools.
- Used customer and deal evidence to shape product strategy and GTM.
- Evidence of using AI to make your own PMM work faster, more consistent, more reusable, or easier to measure
Responsibilities:
- Run deep, direct customer research to define and validate DBO's ICP.
- Own positioning and messaging, including where DBO's story connects to Cast AI's broader platform for existing customers, and keep it consistent as new features ship.
- Own the commercial hypothesis, audience, message, positioning, and experiment design for GTM tests across trial flow, content, and channels. Growth, Product, and Demand Gen help execute the experiments and measure results.
- Translate the technical differentiation behind DBO into a value story its technical buyers recognize as true.
- Manage feature launches end to end, from early positioning through GA.
- Build and iterate on sales enablement assets, battlecards, proof points, and demo narrative, since the product doesn't have a mature sales motion yet.
- Maintain the feedback loop from customer and market signal back into roadmap input.
- Track the competitive landscape and share what's changing with product and leadership.
- Partner directly with Engineering to keep messaging accurate as fast-moving features evolve.
- Build and maintain AI-assisted workflows that make this function faster, more consistent, or easier to measure.
