Senior Product Quality Engineer

To further strengthen our Quality team in Tianjin, we are looking for an experienced Automotive Product Quality Engineer to  support Driver and Energy Systems product line organization who are developing solutions enabling high performances for electric vehicles.

Responsibilities:  

As a Product Reliability & Quality Engineer, you play a key role in New Product Introduction (NPI), ensuring world-class automotive quality and reliability from development to early production.

You have ownership for the quality aspects of new product development, qualification, problem resolution, and release to production.

You work within cross-functional teams (design, test, product engineering, manufacturing, failure analysis, and customers) to define, challenge, and execute quality strategies, ensuring successful product launches and best in class quality levels.

New Product Introduction :

• Active participation in NPI core teams.
• Provide technical direction for defectivity screen development, Zero Defect Initiatives and pre-qualification evaluations.
• Define qualification requirements.
• Assess product qualification risks and make approval decisions.
• Lead product teams through quality issue resolution using problem solving methods.

Change management Quality support

• Define qualification requirements for various manufacturing changes.

• Lead product teams through quality issue resolution using problem solving methods.

Customer Support

• Support customers with technical reliability and quality consult.
• Work with customers to address product reliability and quality issues.
• Engage with customers on new products.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role you have:

• Bachelor or Master degree of Science in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or equivalent.
• 5 years’ experience in the semiconductor industry or at an automotive manufacturer 
• Knowledge of semiconductor IC manufacturing processes
• Knowledge about reliability theories & methods for semiconductor manufacturing
• Knowledge of 8D problem solving methods (8D, DOE, 3x5whys) and FMEA.

Furthermore, you are:

• Persistent in problem solving in a dynamic environment working in multi-functional teams
• Fluent in English language (Verbal and written),
• Demonstrating communication & coordination skills
• Autonomous, Creative, you are taking initiatives
• Flexibility to adjust to change and multiple ongoing issues in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
