The Capital Equipment Excellence team is responsible for accelerating, with safety, quality, and focus, capacity growth across the Gas Value Stream. The organization consists of 3 workstreams; Fulfilment, Installation, and Qualification; all working together to create Standard Work and Daily Management to enable success.
The Qualification team will work cross functionally with Design Engineering, Materials Process Engineering, and Global Supply Chain to ensure that qualifications are completed safely, with the highest quality, and on time. This role will offer excellent exposure to different aspects of the business and require the engineer to wear several hats.
This job involves two main elements:
1) Working as a hybrid Manufacturing and Quality engineer to lead and drive qualifications
2) Working inclusively with Design and Material Process Engineering to create robust qualification standards
Job Description
What you'll do
- Creating Qualification standards in alignment with Global Supply Chain and Engineering
- Attending/Facilitating Kaizens and Roadmaps to support the capacity ramp
- Fostering strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills as well as a passion for quality and continuous improvement
- Leading qualifications from inception to closure, parts and special processes (coatings, brazing, etc.)
- Appling knowledge of design and manufacturing to implement new ideas that enhance overall qualification process, reduce cost and add value
- Identifying and implement qualification cost out opportunities
- Regional, and in some cases, global: shop support
- Cultivating positive working environment and morale; drive a sense of urgency and quality with speed
- Ensuring the team delivers change that has business impact
What you'll bring
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Operations Management, or other Supply Chain related studies or equivalent experience
- Major relevant engineering experience
- Significant steam turbine engineering and/or manufacturing experience
- Fluent English and Polish knowledge is essential
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with individuals in global locations
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
