Senior Services Engineer (B2Bi/CFT)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Services Engineer (B2Bi/CFT) based in the United States.

Join a technical services team responsible for maintaining the reliability, security, and performance of mission-critical enterprise integration platforms.
In this role, you will combine deep expertise in Business-to-Business (B2B) integration and Managed File Transfer (MFT) with hands-on production support and platform administration.
You will oversee complex integration environments, resolve critical incidents, support partner connectivity, and ensure seamless data exchange across enterprise systems.
Your responsibilities will span incident management, integration engineering, security, disaster recovery, and continuous service improvement.
Working closely with customers, vendors, and distributed technical teams, you will help deliver dependable services that meet demanding operational standards.
This opportunity is suited to a self-driven engineer who thrives on troubleshooting complex systems, taking ownership, and improving service reliability.
The position is remote, aligned with U.S. Eastern Time, with limited annual travel and participation in a mandatory 24/7 on-call rotation.

Accountabilities:

As a Senior Services Engineer, you will manage production operations and integration services from implementation through ongoing maintenance, ensuring availability, security, and compliance across critical enterprise platforms.

• Operations and Service Management: Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for production and non-production integration platforms. Manage incidents, problems, changes, service requests, monitoring events, health checks, and operational activities in line with service-level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Major Incident Response: Lead technical escalations and critical incident restoration, participate in service restoration calls, coordinate troubleshooting activities, and conduct post-incident reviews to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.

• Integration Engineering: Design, configure, deploy, test, and support B2B and managed file transfer integrations using industry-standard protocols. Manage partner onboarding, connectivity validation, certificate exchanges, routing configuration, end-to-end testing, and file reprocessing.

• Platform Administration: Administer enterprise integration, managed file transfer, gateway, monitoring, and event management platforms. Perform upgrades, patching, deployments, configuration changes, smoke testing, and platform lifecycle activities.

• Security and Infrastructure: Manage certificates, keys, trust stores, secrets, tokens, and related security components. Support underlying operating systems, databases, messaging platforms, and hybrid infrastructure dependencies.

• Reliability and Recovery: Plan and execute disaster recovery (DR), high availability (HA), failover, recovery validation, and maintenance activities to maintain service continuity.

• Continuous Improvement: Perform root cause analysis, implement corrective and preventive actions, strengthen monitoring and automation, improve capacity planning, and proactively address recurring operational issues.

• Audit and Compliance: Maintain accurate operational documentation, evidence, and traceability to support audits and compliance requirements.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with customers, suppliers, vendors, hosted platform teams, and internal stakeholders during incidents, releases, maintenance activities, and service reviews.

• Operational Leadership: Maintain implementation standards, procedures, and operational runbooks. Mentor junior engineers, share technical knowledge, and contribute to service management best practices.

• Operational Coverage: Align activities with U.S. Eastern Time business needs, participate in the mandatory 24/7/365 on-call rotation, and respond promptly to P1/P2 major incident notifications and P1/P2/P3 service restoration calls involving supported services.

• Release and Maintenance Support: Support application maintenance windows, releases, upgrades, and disaster recovery exercises while maintaining ownership of assigned issues through resolution.
