🔍 About the Role

 As our new Electronics Software Engineer, you will join the Weighing and Electronic Hardware team, working closely with internal stakeholders and global partners.

You will contribute across the full lifecycle of our electronic modules—from initial concept through design, development, testing, manufacturing, and support. The team delivers IO modules, weighing modules, and controllers used in JBT Marel products worldwide.

You will be part of an Agile team where you design circuit boards, develop firmware for real-time operating systems, and collaborate with manufacturing vendors. This role offers strong growth opportunities—learning from experienced experts while introducing new ideas to improve how we work.

🧠 Key Responsibilities

Your daily to-do list will look like this:

• Design, implement, test, and support electronic modules and controllers
• Develop firmware using C/C++ for real-time operating systems
• Contribute to hardware design, including circuit board development
• Work with fieldbus technologies such as EtherCAT and CANopen
• Collaborate with manufacturing vendors to ensure high-quality production
• Support internal stakeholders and ensure solutions meet user needs
• Participate in the full product lifecycle from concept to deployment
• Continuously improve processes and share knowledge within the team

🛠️ What kind of person are you?

• A degree in electronics, software engineering, mechatronics, or a related technical field
• Experience or strong interest in firmware development (C/C++)
• Familiarity with electronics design and circuit boards
• Knowledge of fieldbus systems (e.g., EtherCAT, CANopen) is a plus
• Understanding of serial communication protocols and sensor technologies
• Experience with tools like Altium Designer is advantageous
• A curious, driven, and hands-on mindset
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in an Agile environment
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
