About Glia
Glia is the #1 Banking AI platform, empowering community and regional financial institutions to create efficiencies, accelerate loan growth, drive deposits, and deliver experiences that win against megabanks and fintechs.
Glia's Banking AI Operating System is a central intelligence layer on top of existing tech stacks, activating an AI workforce of specialized agents that draw from banking data, interaction history, and integrated systems of record. These banking-trained agents automate workflows across voice and digital–from front office to back office–resulting in decreased operational costs and the Universal Banker model.
Trusted by 700+ banks and credit unions for its ironclad security and reliability, Glia delivers the industry’s first contractual no-hallucination guarantee. It’s why Glia customers quickly and confidently put Banking AI to work with measurable results from day one. More information about Glia can be found at glia.com.
The Mission & The Work
This role offers an exciting opportunity to join the Automaton team.
You will design and scale the core intelligence services that power both real-time customer interactions and operational foresight. Your projects will range from engineering our real-time transcription engine to building proactive outbound outreach systems. Additionally, you will build conversational interfaces and leverage AI to anticipate user topics, summarize sentiment, and surface unresolved issues. Ultimately, your work will bridge advanced data intelligence with human strategy, empowering agents to work smarter across every channel.
Working in self-reliant product teams, you'll contribute to diverse projects throughout the entire development lifecycle. This role is perfect for those passionate about both server-side and client-side technologies, eager to craft cohesive, full-stack solutions.
Our Collaboration Model
We are an Estonia-based team working across the EET timezone. While we embrace remote collaboration, we have offices in Tallinn and Tartu and we’d love to work with you in a hybrid capacity. We also gather the full team in Estonia twice a year to innovate and connect in person.
What We’re Looking for
We are looking for a high-autonomy, impact-driven Software Engineer who thrives on technical complexity and system-wide variety. While our core needs involve Elixir, Go, or Ruby, we value a strong technical foundation and problem-solving mindset over strict language loyalty. You should be prepared to work across different stacks. In this role, you’ll shift from executing basic tasks to owning features, joining technical discussions, and keeping our codebase high-quality.
We generally look for the following qualifications:
Experience: 3-5 years of professional software development experience , with a track record of shipping production-grade code.
System Design & Initiative: You comfortably take features from start to finish. You design, build, and maintain reliable, highly available systems, ensuring your code solves the actual problem and integrates cleanly into our architecture without adding unnecessary complexity.
Technical Foundation: Strong mastery of strictly-typed/compiled languages, design patterns, and containerized cloud infrastructure (AWS). Familiarity with event-driven architecture.
Engineering Excellence & Code Quality: You write clean, test-driven code (TDD, CI/CD) and proactively spot areas for improvement without waiting for tasks. You effectively leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate boilerplate and testing, while maintaining strict accountability for correctness.
Proactive Growth: A self-starter who independently identifies areas for improvement, actively seeks feedback, and constantly learns.
No problem if you miss a few of these qualifications. If you find it interesting to learn them, do still apply.
Our Tech Stack
Coding languages: Elixir, Ruby, Javascript (React)
Current Persistence Solutions: Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, S3
Infrastructure: AWS
Monitoring: DataDog
CI/CD: Jenkins
AI: Gemini, CoPilot, Claude Code
Other: AWS services, Kafka, GitHub
Note: We are constantly evolving our tech stack to ensure the usage of the right tools for specific needs, and you will be part of the process of choosing new technologies.
