At Commure, we're building the AI Operating System for healthcare, the foundation that defines how care is delivered, documented, and financed. Our platform spans the full care journey: Ambient AI and Dictation eliminating documentation burden at the point of care, intelligent Agents automating patient and revenue workflows, and autonomous RCM processing billions in claims, all on a single AI-native platform integrated with 60+ EHRs.
Healthcare carries a $1 trillion administrative burden and we're at the center of transforming it. Today, 500,000+ clinicians across 500+ healthcare organizations nationwide trust Commure to handle $25B+ in annual claims and support over 200 million patient interactions. Our latest $70M raise at a $7B valuation reflects the confidence the market has placed in this mission. We've also been named to the Fortune Future 50 list and the 2026 AI Breakthrough Awards for “Overall NLP Company of the Year.”
Our team works directly alongside clinicians, not through layers of process, which means the gap between what you build and its impact on patient care is immediate. We move fast, deploy daily, and take full ownership from early thinking to production. If you're energized by hard problems, high stakes, and a team that holds itself to a high bar, you'll find your people here.
The future of healthcare is being built right now. Come deliver this transformation.
About the Role
Commure is building the AI-native operating system for healthcare, and our AI Orchestration team is at the center of that mission. We’re partnering with the largest community care organization in the world to completely reimagine how they run revenue cycle operations — from the moment a referral comes in to the moment a claim gets paid. You’ll be designing systems from scratch, iterating rapidly against real customer specs, and shipping software that directly transforms how a massive healthcare organization operates. The problems are big, ambiguous, and genuinely novel — think real-time bulk insurance eligibility checks, AI-driven detection of payment variances against thousands of insurer contracts, intelligent patient outreach, and modernized intake and referral workflows, all operating at enterprise scale. You’ll work on a small, high-ownership team where your code, your product judgment, and your ability to move fast all matter equally.
What You’ll Do
Design and build new systems from the ground up, rapidly iterating based on direct customer specs and feedback
Own outcomes end-to-end: product thinking, technical design, timeline management, and delivery
Build and scale data ingestion pipelines that process large volumes of healthcare and claims data
Develop full-stack applications, from backend services to user-facing interfaces
Apply LLMs and AI at scale to solve real operational problems, like claims variance detection and contract intelligence
Collaborate closely with a small, high-caliber engineering team
Participate actively in code review and help raise the bar on engineering quality
Apply lessons learned from prior products to avoid repeating past mistakes and move faster
What We’re Looking For
4+ years of professional software engineering experience
Experience building and deploying LLM-powered systems or applying AI at scale in production
Strong full-stack skills; comfortable across the stack including Python, FastAPI, AWS, Redis, and React
Experience working directly with customers or stakeholders to translate ambiguous requirements into shipped systems
Experience owning production systems on an on-call rotation
A bias toward speed and ownership — you’d rather build and iterate than wait for perfect requirements
Strong stakeholder communication skills; you can explain technical tradeoffs to non-technical audiences
No prior healthcare experience required — domain experience is a plus, not a requirement
