## The Role
As a founding product engineer at Flick, you’ll sit at the intersection of engineering, design, and filmmaking. You won’t just build features — you’ll shape how people create films with AI. You will work directly with the founders, and have the opportunity to shape the future interface for AI visual storytelling.
### **What you’ll do**
* Design and build product features end-to-end across frontend and backend.
* Rapidly prototype and iterate on new creative workflows with tight feedback loops.
* Work closely with founders on product direction, UX decisions, and feature prioritization.
* Translate ambiguous ideas into intuitive, high-quality user experiences.
* Continuously refine interaction details, polish, and usability.
* Help define the future of AI-native creative tools.
### **Requirements**
* Strong full stack engineering skills (React, TypeScript, backend frameworks).
* Exceptional **product sense** and **attention to UX details**.
* Experience building **creative tools. Can become an expert in creative technology in AI video production.**
* Strong intuition for what makes a product feel simple, powerful, and delightful.
* Startup mindset: high ownership, high agency, high velocity.
### **Nice-to-have**
* Love films and art.
* You are a **creator yourself**: filmmaker, video editor, animator, designer, or similar.
* Have experience in AI video generation.
* Have been a founder before.
* Have contributed in open-source projects, and coding for fun outside of regular work.
