Hybrid
Role: Senior Systems Integration Engineer
Location: Hybrid working with Derby, Warrington or Manchester as your primary base
Our mission
Our mission is to deliver clean, affordable energy for all. Our Small Modular Reactor (SMR) offers a British solution to a global energy challenge, placing us at the forefront of a once-in-a-generation opportunity and positioning the UK as a future world leader in clean energy technology.
The team
Systems Engineering is fundamental to the successful delivery of the Rolls-Royce SMR programme. It provides the framework that connects customer and stakeholder needs, requirements, architectures, interfaces, design solutions, verification activities and assurance evidence across the entire engineering lifecycle.
The Systems Engineering team is responsible for developing and continuously improving the capability, methods, processes and digital tools that enable our engineers to design, integrate and assure a complex nuclear product. As the organisation grows, the team is driving the adoption of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Requirements Management and an integrated digital engineering environment that will support the delivery of a fleet of SMRs.
The role
We are looking for a Senior Systems Integration Engineer to help shape and deliver the Systems Engineering capability that underpins the Rolls-Royce SMR programme.
This is a high-impact role operating across the engineering organisation, where you will lead work packages that improve how engineering information, requirements, models and design decisions are created, managed and connected. You will be instrumental in developing and embedding Systems Engineering frameworks, MBSE approaches and digital integration solutions that enable engineers to work more effectively and efficiently.
Working across multiple disciplines, you will tackle complex technical and organisational challenges, influence stakeholders at all levels and help drive adoption of new engineering tools, methods and ways of working. Your work will contribute directly to the creation of a coherent digital thread that supports the design, integration, verification and assurance of our product throughout its lifecycle.
