Role Title: SEO & Technical Architecture Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking a highly technical, strategic Regional SEO & Technical Architecture Lead to join our Regional Centre of Excellence (CoE) team. In this role, you will be the primary technical authority and organic growth strategist across multiple markets, with a dual focus on setting regional SEO governance and driving end-to-end Technical and Organic SEO strategy for the Singapore market.
While you will not be writing long-form copy directly (external freelance/agency copywriters manage original drafting), you will own the organic content strategy, keyword architecture, topic clusters, content briefs and final quality control (QC). You will balance deep technical site architecture, Schema.org implementation, and Jira developer management with high-impact organic keyword mapping and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) across web and app ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Organic SEO Strategy & Content Direction (Singapore & Regional)
- Keyword Architecture & Intent Mapping: Drive end-to-end keyword research and search intent mapping for target markets (specifically Singapore and broader regional hubs), identifying high-converting commercial opportunities for mobile plans, eSIMs and digital telco services.
- Topic Clusters & Content Roadmaps: Design data-backed content roadmaps, pillar-cluster site architecture and internal linking strategies to build domain topical authority.
- Writer Briefing & Content Quality Control (QC): Translate SEO keyword research into detailed, structured content briefs for external freelance/agency copywriters. Review, edit and QA all external writer deliverables to ensure SEO alignment, keyword density, E-E-A-T signals and brand consistency before publishing.
- On-Page & CRO Optimization: Optimize titles, meta descriptions, header structures (<h1>-<h3>), page layouts and conversion elements across core landing pages, blogs and Help Center articles.
2. Regional Governance, Standards & Market Enablement
- Regional Playbooks & SOPs: Design, document and maintain regional SEO standard operating procedures, canonicalization rules, multi-market hreflang architecture and technical guidelines across all target markets.
- Cross-Market Alignment: Act as the technical and organic SEO subject matter expert (SME) for regional leadership and local market teams, establishing QA benchmarks and monitoring local compliance with regional frameworks.
- Agency & Vendor Oversight: Audit, review and validate technical and content deliverables submitted by local market agencies or external writing partners.
3. Technical SEO & Site Architecture
- Advanced Technical Auditing: Perform regular, comprehensive technical audits (indexing, crawl budgets, JavaScript rendering, site architecture and Core Web Vitals) across desktop, mobile, and web-app interfaces.
- Developer & Jira Ticket Management: Translate technical audit findings into clear, structured Jira user stories (containing issue context, technical requirements, acceptance criteria and expected business impact). Work directly within product management queues alongside engineering.
- Schema.org & Structured Data: Architect and maintain advanced JSON-LD structured data (Product, Offer, FAQ, Breadcrumb, Organization, HowTo) to standardize plan specifications and pricing for search crawlers.
- Crawl Efficiency & CMS Operations: Audit XML sitemaps, robots.txt directives, 301 redirect chains and canonical tags. Hands-on management within modern headless/decoupled CMS environments (Contentful, WordPress) to manage metadata, page hierarchies and content staging without developer dependency.
4. Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) & RAG Frameworks
- RAG Content Architecture: Structure web page hierarchies, Q&A blocks and semantic HTML tags (<table>, <ul>, <h2>) to maximize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) extraction by LLMs.
- Machine-Readable Fact Density: Ensure pricing, eSIM specifications, and service terms are formatted in clear, bite-sized data structures that AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) can ingest accurately.
- Entity & Citation Building: Monitor and manage brand entity connections, knowledge graphs and authoritative third-party citations to strengthen LLM trust and citation frequency.
5. Technical App Store Optimization (ASO) & Deep Linking
- App & Web Integration: Collaborate with mobile app teams to configure deep linking and universal links, seamlessly routing web search intent into app installations and onboarding flows.
- Technical ASO Architecture: Audit app metadata, localized store listings and technical conversion performance across iOS App Store Connect and Google Play Console.
6. Analytics, Technical Tooling & Reporting
- Tool Mastery: Fully leverage industry-standard technical and organic SEO suites, including Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Ahrefs, SEMrush and Looker Studio.
- Log File Analysis: Conduct periodic web server log file analyses to track search engine crawler behavior, verify bot access and resolve indexing anomalies on high-traffic pages.
- Performance Reporting: Build and maintain automated performance dashboards to track organic subscriber acquisition, technical health scores, keyword rankings and AI citation visibility.
Candidate Profile & Key Requirements
- Experience: 5 - 8 years of SEO experience, spanning both Technical Site Architecture and Strategic Organic SEO (preferably supporting multiple markets).
- Content Strategy vs. Direct Writing: Strong ability to conduct keyword research, build topic clusters, generate structured briefs, and QA external writer deliverables (direct copywriting is managed by external writers but organic SEO direction and editing are owned by this role).
- Technical & Code Acumen: Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript rendering, JSON-LD schema markup, international site setups (hreflang) and site speed optimization.
- Developer Collaboration: Proven experience working within engineering/agile workflows (Jira, Confluence, Monday.com), translating SEO needs into engineering requirements.
- CMS & ASO Proficiency: Hands-on technical experience with CMS platforms (specifically Contentful and WordPress) alongside practical familiarity with App Store Optimization (ASO) fundamentals.
- GEO & Analytics: Working understanding of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) principles and expert-level capability in diagnosing crawl anomalies using Screaming Frog, Search Console and GA4.
- Language: Professional working proficiency in English.
