Job Summary
Shift: 4th ShiftJob Description
Perform various assigned duties having to do with the preparation, expediting and dispatching of shipments including parcel and LTL with various shipping companies. Check crating to insure travel quality. Reviews Sales Order information to ensure all shipping requirements are met for product shipped. Prepare bills of lading, packing slips, shipping labels, handling instructions, maintain records for all shipments. Completes issue transactions for parts shipments. Requisition crating lumber, supplies, etc., required for shipments. Prep and prepare large units to ship on a daily basis. Work under general supervision. Instructions provided on changes, new regulations, etc. Six thousand (6,000) hours of experience to become familiar with shipping procedures, products, crating and material handling methods and to attain accuracy and performance requirements. Performs other duties as designated by supervisor in the same salary grade or below.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Vocational or high school graduate or equivalent.
Employees in this classification must adhere to the requirements set forth in the Inventory Security Policy.
Must be a sole US Citizen
