Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Design and develop graphics for interactive 3D applications.
Apply mathematical principles to model the geometry and spatial relationships of objects and images.
Develop 2D and 3D geometry and graphical objects that help clinicians determine appropriate acquisition parameters.
Develop frameworks and features for medical visualization applications across multiple imaging modalities.
Design, implement, test, and document high-quality software features.
Collaborate with architects and technical experts to design new features, evaluate alternatives, develop prototypes, and define execution plans.
Develop web applications using the MVC pattern, with a strong focus on performance and scalability.
Write clean, maintainable code that meets established standards and delivers the required functionality using the technologies selected for the project.
Make informed technology choices and assess their impact on the product and its architecture.
Apply MVC architecture principles, define clear component responsibilities, and create efficient, reusable software structures.
Apply continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment (CI/CD) practices.
Apply software development lifecycle practices and Lean, Agile, and XP methodologies, including continuous integration, software and product security, scalability, documentation, refactoring, and effective testing techniques.
Demonstrate a strong passion for innovation and medical imaging.
Essential skills
Applied Mathematics: Excellent logical, constructive, and spatial aware way of thinking
2D/3D geometry, experience with game engines is welcome (Unreal Engine, Unity, ...), or experience with medical images (ITK, VTK, QT, CornerstoneJS); or 3D Applications (Metal, OpenGL, etc)
Some Experience in software design and web application
Work experience as a software development engineer (Git, Gitlab, Jenkins experience)
Build knowledge recommended (npm, Bazel, WebPack)
Education Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with a minimum of 2+ years of experience into Software Development.
Technical expertise:
Able to evaluate code, build it and run applications locally by itself
Experience in creating applications in micro-services and micro-front ends
Curiosity, creativity and sense of deliverables
Promotes empowerment and adoption.
Publishes materials to promote adoption of the design.
Offers design solutions based on research and synthesis
Passionate about innovation and medical imaging
