About Abby Care
Making family care possible. At Abby Care, we are tackling one of the most important and unsolved challenges of our time: family caregiving.
Over 50 million Americans are family caregivers for loved ones without pay, tools, or support. Our mission is clear and ambitious: to train and employ family caregivers so they can get paid for the care they already provide at home.
Abby Care is building a tech-powered, family-first care platform to efficiently deliver care, improve health outcomes, and provide the best-in-class experience nationwide.
We are rapidly expanding our mission and looking for passionate team members to join. Abby Care has partnered with leading insurance plans, healthcare providers, and community organizations. We’re supported by top, mission-driven VCs to empower families throughout the country.
We’re looking for an experienced and driven individual to join us as a Full-Stack Software Engineer. You will report to the VP, Head of Engineering. This is a full-time opportunity based in San Francisco, CA (4 days in-person)
Abby Care is redefining family caregiving with AI-powered products and support. In this role, you’ll design and build technology that is core to the families we serve and to how Abby Care operates. You will solve challenging technical problems with real-world impact and help shape the product direction and roadmap as a key early engineer.
Drive product and platform development. You will take full ownership of the development lifecycle, from concept to delivery. This involves defining project scope based on requirements, performing full-stack development, conducting user testing, and managing launch cycles.
Partner with cross-functional teams to solve real-world problems. You will partner with teams such as operations, clinical, compliance, product and more, in order to build solutions that work in the real world. You will be a critical voice for articulating technical initiatives to further our mission.
Lead the team in technical excellence. You will deepen your technical “spikes”, be they in product-development, cloud infrastructure, machine learning, or data security, as well as broaden your horizons by building greenfield systems using the latest advancements in AI. You will be challenged to uphold health care industry standards and become an expert in one of the US’s largest sectors.
