The Ideal Candidate
You are curious about how software works below the web application layer and want to develop deeper expertise in desktop and runtime engineering.
You enjoy debugging problems, learning new systems, and understanding how technologies such as Electron, Chromium, Node.js, and Windows interact. You can independently complete well-defined engineering tasks, ask for help when a problem moves beyond your experience, and use feedback from senior engineers to improve your solutions.
You value clean code, automated testing, secure engineering practices, and collaborative problem solving.
We are building a new desktop platform that enables Autodesk's web-based products to deliver richer, higher-performance experiences on Windows. Forma is the first product adopting the platform, with the longer-term goal of creating reusable desktop capabilities for additional Autodesk products.
You will join a new cross-functional platform team working across Electron, Chromium, Windows desktop integration, software delivery, security, and enterprise deployment. You will collaborate with experienced engineers in Sheffield and with engineering teams across Autodesk.
This is a hybrid working position based out of Autodesk's Sheffield office.
