The Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join one of our Adaptive Email Data Loss Prevention (AEDLP) teams. The team owns Proofpoint’s Microsoft 365 add-in (currently for Outlook), which helps organisations stop sensitive data leaving through email. How we work
Integrating our product with email platforms such as Google and Microsoft is technically complex, especially at our scale and with our security requirements. Our standards for security, quality and availability are the highest, but we also foster psychological safety: we are comfortable with the unknown and love to experiment to find the right solution.
We use data to validate our decisions and measure our progress, and it shapes our goals and roadmap. We think you’ll thrive here if you focus on outcomes rather than outputs and use evidence to back your arguments and influence the team’s direction.
Our main challenge ahead is scaling, both vertically (the size of individual tenants) and horizontally (the number of tenants).
