Mujin is a global leader in industrial automation, redefining supply chain efficiency through MujinOS—our intelligent operating system for robotics. At our core is Machine Intelligence (MujinMI), a unique approach that leverages real-time digital twins and advanced perception, planning, and control algorithms to achieve fully autonomous operations.
Our flagship product, MujinController, empowers users with a highly configurable, no-code interface. By integrating cutting-edge motion planning and computer vision, it enables seamless automation for complex applications such as palletizing, picking, and truck unloading.
Headquartered in Japan with a growing presence in the US, China, and Europe, we invite you to join a dynamic environment where you can shape the future of automation.
About This Position
At Mujin, we believe the best starting point is a role that aligns with what you want to work on. If you find a specific position that matches your interests and experience, we encourage you to apply directly to that role.
At the same time, engineering experience does not always fit neatly into a single job description.
This open position is intended for software engineers whose background may span multiple areas across our Robotics and Backend teams.
Based on your experience, technical strengths, and interests, we will consider where your background could be the best fit within Mujin.
Depending on your background, you may be considered for opportunities in the following areas:
Robotics Algorithms
Design and develop algorithms that power real-time industrial robotic systems, including:
- Motion planning and collision avoidance
- Robot dynamics and trajectory control
- Packing algorithms and space optimization
- Geometric reasoning and combinatorial optimization
- Integration of algorithms with real robotic systems
Backend Systems
Design, build, and own high-performance backend systems supporting industrial robot controllers, including:
- Reliable backend services and APIs
- Low-latency communication and inter-process communication
- Sensor and industrial-device integration
- High-performance, data-intensive pipelines
- Linux-based systems, networking, diagnostics, and operational tooling
- Controller provisioning, upgrades, and production reliability
