Who we need
Reporting to the Director, Growth & Innovation Operations, we are hiring a Senior Analyst, Growth & Innovation Operations to strengthen commercial insights and help turn growth, innovation, and operational priorities into measurable results across Altus Group's Valuation Advisory Services (VAS) business. You will take ownership of weekly and monthly commercial reporting, investigate business performance, and independently advance defined initiatives from analysis through execution and adoption. Working across Sales, Finance, Product, Engineering, Enablement, and VAS business teams, you will connect information, challenge assumptions, identify risks and inconsistencies, and develop practical recommendations that support better decisions. You will bring structure to ambiguous problems, produce clear, decision-ready insights, and create the accountability and follow-through needed to move work forward with limited oversight.
This is a hybrid role based in Toronto, Ontario.
What’s in it for you
Business impact. At Altus Group, commercial real estate expertise, data, and technology come together to shape how the industry operates. Within VAS, you will work on priorities that influence commercial performance, operational efficiency, and business growth. You will go beyond producing reports to uncover what drives results, challenge assumptions, and recommend actions that make a measurable difference. You will see how your thinking and initiative contribute to better decisions and tangible improvements across the business.
Accelerate your growth. You will gain exposure across the business, developing the perspective and execution capabilities to take ownership of increasingly complex initiatives. You will work directly with the Director and collaborate with experienced leaders across Sales, Finance, Product, Engineering, and VAS, learning how decisions are made and competing priorities are balanced.
Independence and influence. As Altus Group explores how AI, automation, and technology can improve its services and operations, you will help translate new ideas into practical changes that teams can adopt. Your ability to deliver results will create opportunities to expand your responsibilities and influence.
As our new Senior Analyst, Growth & Innovation Operations, you will
● Own commercial reporting and uncover insights. You will take responsibility for coordinating and preparing accurate, timely weekly and monthly commercial reporting, bringing together inputs from Sales, Finance, and VAS business teams. You will validate data, maintain dashboards, investigate trends and inconsistencies, and explain what is changing, why it matters, and where leadership may need to act.
● Investigate business challenges and recommend action. You will independently structure and analyze commercial and operational questions, including performance trends, customer churn, and business planning priorities. You will connect information from multiple sources, test assumptions, identify underlying issues, and present practical recommendations that reflect business context and potential trade-offs.
● Drive initiatives forward with limited oversight. You will take ownership of defined workstreams, turning broad priorities into clear plans, milestones, and deliverables. You will coordinate stakeholders, manage dependencies, follow through on commitments, and surface risks or missed actions early. You will use your judgment to resolve issues where appropriate and involve the Director when decisions or competing priorities require escalation.
● Make complex information decision-ready. You will prepare concise presentations, dashboards, briefing notes, and leadership updates that connect detailed analysis to clear conclusions. You will highlight implications, risks, recommendations, and decisions required, ensuring that meetings and working sessions result in defined actions, owners, and meaningful follow-through.
● Support technology and innovation through adoption. You will work with Product, Engineering, and business teams to help move technology, automation, and AI-enabled initiatives from business need to implementation. You will clarify requirements, organize business-side coordination, support testing and release readiness, and gather feedback to help ensure new capabilities are adopted and deliver practical value.
● Improve how VAS operates. You will identify recurring inefficiencies, reporting gaps, manual processes, and opportunities to simplify or standardize work. You will investigate root causes, recommend improvements, and help implement repeatable processes and tools that improve accuracy, reduce unnecessary effort, and support more effective operations.
You bring
● The commercial and analytical foundation. You have experience analyzing financial, commercial, operational, or performance data and using your findings to inform business decisions. You bring advanced Excel skills, can work confidently with complex datasets, and know how to validate information, investigate anomalies, and identify meaningful trends. You are interested in what drives business performance and can connect the numbers to their commercial implications.
● The critical thinking to challenge assumptions. You have demonstrated an ability to approach loosely defined business problems with curiosity and sound judgment. You know how to ask the right questions, gather relevant information, test assumptions, and distinguish symptoms from underlying issues. You do not accept information at face value or stop at the first explanation; you look for evidence and develop recommendations that can stand up to scrutiny.
● The independence to deliver. You have taken ownership of complex deliverables or defined workstreams, coordinating stakeholders and progressing work without constant direction. You anticipate next steps, recognize dependencies, follow through on commitments, and identify issues before they become larger problems. You balance initiative with judgment, knowing what you can resolve independently and when to seek input or escalate.
● The ability to turn analysis into decisions. You have developed business reporting, dashboards, presentations, or executive materials that communicate more than data alone. You can synthesize information from different sources, explain business implications, and present clear recommendations, risks, and trade-offs. You bring strong PowerPoint capabilities and understand the level of accuracy, clarity, and preparation required for senior leadership discussions.
● The technical fluency to improve how work gets done. You are comfortable working with reporting, data, and business systems and motivated to use technology to solve practical problems. Experience with Power BI, SQL, Databricks, Salesforce, Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Copilot, or similar tools would be valuable. You are curious about automation and AI and understand that successful technology adoption depends on clear business needs, effective implementation, and measurable improvements.
● The mindset of a business operator. You have built your experience in business operations, finance, analytics, consulting, commercial operations, product operations, or a related environment. You want to understand how different parts of a business connect, how decisions affect performance, and what it takes to move from recommendation to result. You are motivated by ownership, enjoy learning unfamiliar areas, and are ready to take on progressively more complex responsibilities.
