Job Description:
At dentsu, identity and data sit at the heart of everything we do — transforming first-party, and strategic third-party data, B2C, B2B, B2B2C and others into actionable insights and intelligent identity solutions that fuel smarter decisions, personalized experiences, and measurable impact. It’s not just a step in the process; it’s the engine that powers innovation and growth across every stage of our client journey.
The incumbent in this role will own the end-to-end technical and commercial solution, and its business outcomes, for dentsu’s B2B identity, audience, and closed-loop media engagement with a strategic enterprise software partner. The role is the design authority for the solution internally, and the external-facing authority on dentsu’s identity capability across the partner’s product, engineering, marketing, and legal organizations.
This is a hybrid product solutions and delivery role. The incumbent defines the reference architecture, converts it into a sequenced delivery plan, and drives execution across agency, product, engineering, and legal teams.
The role also leads productization of the underlying capability into a packaged partner application, extending a single engagement into a repeatable commercial offering. Success requires an operator who can hold a complex data architecture end to end, defend it under client and regulatory scrutiny, and deliver against contractual dates in a matrixed organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution architecture
- Own and maintain the reference architecture for the B2B identity, audience, and closed-loop media solution, covering identity resolution against the dentsu identity graph, clean room mediation, audience construction, activation paths, and measurement return path (analytics & attribution).
- Gather requirements from all key stakeholders across dentsu, the partner, and legal and privacy teams, ensuring their needs are understood, documented, and reflected in the solution design and implementation plan.
- Author and maintain solution documentation as the single source of truth, and adjudicate design decisions when platform constraints require alternative integration routes.
- Own the B2B firmographic and contact-level data model underpinning target account list and contact-level activation.
- Make solution decisions with both technical and commercial outcomes in mind, owning the business case and helping ensure the investment delivers value for clients, partners, and dentsu.
Client-facing technical leadership
- Serve as the primary technical authority to the partner organization on dentsu’s identity, data, and activation capability, including at executive alignment gates and partner conferences.
- Build and sustain relationships with senior executives at the partner and within dentsu, and serve as the escalation point for issues that threaten the engagement.
- Maintain a defensible distinction between current capability, committed roadmap, and forward-looking vision when engaging a client that is also a technology vendor, translating between agency, advertising technology, and enterprise software vocabularies without loss of precision.
Delivery planning and mobilization
- Own the project plan from solution design through contract signature and into initial phase delivery, including schedule and RACI documentation for post-signature mobilization.
- Sequence dependencies across internal functions and client-side deliverables; maintain the critical path; identify, manage, and escalate program, commercial, and regulatory risk early.
- Deliver defined phase scope against contractual milestones, including short-cycle activation commitments.
- Own the overall success of the solution, ensuring commitments are delivered on time, key milestones are met, and the expected business results are achieved.
Partner product development and productization
- Lead definition and development of dentsu identity capability packaged as a partner-platform application, including managed package scoping, environment governance, and marketplace listing requirements.
- Lead proof-of-concept engagements with the partner’s product and engineering teams, managing scope, technical dependencies, and evaluation criteria.
- Feed engagement learnings into the product roadmap so patterns proven with one partner become reusable capability.
- Design the operating model and documentation standards for productization and scale, establishing clear ways of working, ownership, support processes, and documentation so the solution can be consistently deployed and operated across future partner engagements.
Governance, privacy, and reporting
- Provide the technical substance required for contracting, data-use review, and third-party partner agreements; own the accuracy of data use permissibility positions — what data moves, where resolution occurs, what leaves which environments — and maintain consistency between executed agreements, documentation, and delivered build.
- Own a recurring written status cadence to stakeholders across both organizations and document reusable patterns for other partner engagements.
Qualifications
Required
- 10+ years in marketing technology, advertising technology, or enterprise data solutions, including agency, consultancy, or platform-side experience on enterprise client engagements.
- Working knowledge of identity resolution, deterministic and probabilistic matching, graph-based identity, match rate and reach economics, and the trade-offs between reach and precision.
- Hands-on experience with data clean room architecture and cloud data warehousing; Snowflake strongly preferred.
- Fluency in the Salesforce data ecosystem, including Data Cloud/Data 360 data models, integration methods, and their practical constraints.
- Proven ability to hold solution design authority in front of a client’s senior product and engineering leadership.
- Experience building business cases and gathering and translating requirements from senior stakeholders for technology solutions or commercial offerings.
- Track record delivering complex technical programs in a matrixed organization without direct authority over contributing functions.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and owning budget or business case outcomes for a commercial offering.
- Strong written communication and documentation discipline.
- Experience designing operating models, support processes, and documentation standards to scale a solution across multiple clients or partners.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred
- B2B marketing and data experience (target account lists, contact-level activation, account-based measurement); closed-loop measurement and attribution design in a signal-loss environment; server-side tagging and conversion API patterns.
- Familiarity with agentic system design and interoperability standards such as MCP, and the governance implications of exposing enterprise data services to external agents.
