Job Purpose
To design, execute, test, commission, and maintain fire fighting and pre-action systems in compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and review fire fighting and pre-action system layouts and shop drawings.
• Prepare hydraulic calculations, material submittals, and BOQs.
• Supervise installation of:
• Sprinkler systems
• Pre-action systems
• Hydrant systems
• Fire pumps
• Clean agent suppression systems
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, HVAC, and fire alarm teams.
• Conduct testing and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with National Fire Protection Association standards and local authority requirements.
• Attend inspections and client meetings.
• Troubleshoot system faults and support maintenance activities.
• Prepare project documentation, reports, and handover records.
• Ensure site safety and quality compliance.
Educational Qualification:
• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience:
• 3–10 years of relevant experience in firefighting systems.
• Experience with pre-action systems and data center projects preferred.
Technical Skills :
• Knowledge of sprinkler and pre-action systems
• Hydraulic calculation knowledge
• AutoCAD proficiency
• Understanding of fire alarm integration
• Knowledge of NFPA standards
