Job Description
When you're part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll do meaningful work that enables our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. As the world leader in serving science, our digital ecosystem powers billions of dollars in customer interactions and supports scientists, researchers, healthcare professionals and industrial customers around the globe. Our Digital Customer Experience organization is responsible for defining and delivering the future of digital commerce across our digital experiences.
As a Senior Digital Product Manager, APAC, you will serve as the regional product leader connecting Asia Pacific market performance, customer needs and commercial priorities to Thermo Fisher Scientific's global digital product strategy. You will develop a fact-based point of view on where Digital can improve customer outcomes and commercial performance across the region, with particular attention to the different market structures, customer behaviors, dealer models and platform maturity that shape digital adoption in APAC.
This role is intentionally positioned in-region. You will work closely with regional Commercial, Marketing, and eBusiness leaders while partnering with global Product Management, UX, Analytics and platform teams. Your responsibility is not simply to represent regional requests. You will co-create product direction with the markets, distinguish local requirements from scalable patterns and ensure regional insights influence enterprise product decisions.
Success requires strong product judgment, commercial acumen and the ability to operate across a complex portfolio of global and localized digital experiences. You will be expected to understand revenue and funnel performance across the region, develop hypotheses about performance drivers, identify opportunities for experimentation and bring a clear recommendation back to the broader product organization. You will also identify successful regional capabilities and operating models that may warrant broader global scale.
· Define and evolve the digital product vision for APAC, grounded in customer evidence, regional commercial priorities, competitive context and measurable business outcomes.
· Translate differences across markets into a contextualized regional strategy that clarifies what should be globally standardized, regionally adapted or locally differentiated.
· Develop and maintain a multi-year regional product roadmap that connects APAC priorities to global platform and experience roadmaps.
· Distinguish business requests from underlying customer and commercial problems, then recommend the most effective product intervention.
· Identify opportunities that span markets, sites or organizational boundaries and drive alignment on reusable capabilities rather than one-off solutions.
· Bring a clear APAC point of view into global product planning, investment discussions and roadmap trade-offs.
· Develop command of digital revenue, engaged traffic, funnel performance, adoption and conversion across APAC markets and the digital platforms available to local teams.
· Partner with Finance, Commercial and regional stakeholders to understand performance versus plan and prior year, identify meaningful trends and explain the drivers behind regional variation.
· Build hypotheses that distinguish macroeconomic or market softness from addressable digital performance gaps.
· Bring regional insights back into the corporate product organization so market learning informs enterprise priorities, investment decisions and roadmap sequencing.
· Establish a disciplined customer and market insight cadence using direct customer engagement, Sales and service feedback, behavioral analytics, CAS or satisfaction signals and competitive benchmarking.
· Develop a strong understanding of dealer and distributor personas across APAC, including which needs are common across markets and which are country-specific.
· Partner with UX and Research to validate customer problems before committing to solutions and ensure regional experiences reflect real customer behavior.
· Monitor local competitors, digital commerce practices and emerging market behaviors to identify opportunities for differentiation.
· Accelerate adoption of global digital capabilities across APAC by translating enterprise products into relevant regional use cases, enablement plans and measurable adoption outcomes.
· Identify successful regional capabilities, market practices or customer solutions that have the potential to scale beyond a single country.
· Build the business and customer case for when localized innovation should be standardized or incorporated into global platforms.
· Anticipate dependencies across markets and product portfolios and proactively align roadmaps to reduce fragmentation.
· Serve as a strategic product partner to APAC Marketing, eBusiness and regional leadership teams.
· Make and communicate prioritization recommendations when customer, regional, commercial and technical needs compete for investment.
· Clearly articulate expected customer and business outcomes, trade-offs, risks and strategic rationale to both senior executives and delivery teams.
· Create operating mechanisms that keep regional teams informed while avoiding a model centered on status reporting or request intake.
· Influence without direct authority and create momentum across globally distributed teams.
· Lead discovery for regional customer and commercial problems before committing teams to specific solutions.
· Translate validated opportunities into clear product outcomes, requirements and MVP strategies that enable UX and Engineering teams to execute effectively.
· Determine the smallest meaningful intervention needed to validate a hypothesis and define criteria for scaling, iterating or stopping.
· Balance immediate market needs with the development of reusable global or regional platform capabilities.
· Maintain accountability for customer and business outcomes throughout the product lifecycle rather than measuring success primarily through feature delivery.
· Bachelor's degree required.
· 7+ years of experience in Digital Product Management, Digital Commerce, Customer Experience or closely related roles.
· Demonstrated experience defining product strategy and owning roadmaps for customer-facing digital products.
· Experience leading product decisions in complex, cross-functional and geographically distributed environments.
· Experience using revenue, funnel, behavioral analytics, customer insights and experimentation to make prioritization and investment decisions.
· Proven ability to translate ambiguous customer and business problems into product strategy, measurable outcomes and executable roadmaps.
· Strong ability to communicate strategy, recommendations and trade-offs to senior executives, commercial leaders and technical teams.
· Experience with dealer or distributor portals, localized commerce models, market expansion or regional digital transformation.
· Experience delivering digital commerce capabilities for B2B customers, distributors, dealers, procurement organizations or enterprise purchasing workflows.
· Experience managing digital revenue or funnel performance and translating business performance into product interventions.
· Experience with global digital platforms that must support regional and market-specific requirements.
· Experience collaborating across cultures and time zones and influencing teams without direct authority.
· MBA or advanced business education.
· Regional strategic product leadership: Builds a clear product point of view from customer, commercial and market evidence rather than serving primarily as a conduit for requests.
· Commercial acumen: Understands revenue, funnel and market performance and can identify where Digital has meaningful levers to change outcomes.
· Customer and market grounding: Uses direct customer evidence, analytics, Sales insight, competitive context and emerging market or technology signals to challenge assumptions and guide priorities.
· Systems thinking: Understands how local market decisions interact with global platforms, shared capabilities and the broader customer journey.
· Global-local judgment: Recognizes when a market need should be localized, when a global capability should be adopted and when regional innovation has potential for enterprise scale.
· Influence and alignment: Builds trust across regional and global teams while remaining comfortable making recommendations and difficult trade-offs.
· Clear communication: Synthesizes complex performance and customer signals into a concise point of view for executive, commercial and technical audiences.
· Ownership: Takes accountability for customer and business outcomes from discovery through delivery, adoption and optimization.
