Sr. Staff Associate - System Test

Position Title: Sr. Staff Associate

Department: Testing

Position Summary:

The Senior Staff Associate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of 8 engineering system test pads at Juinagar. The person will be handling test operations, performing data analytics on system test data, publishing test reports to the sponsors on timely basis. Automation of test reports, working on new templates and coordinating the maintenance at system test pads shall also be done by the appointed person in this role.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Hands on operation of the engineering system test pads.
• Work on Bloom energy server testing, carbon capture, heat capture systems.
• Periodic report generation, publishing to test sponsors.
• Analyze the data obtained from system testing and present conclusive trends
• Automation of reporting templates in excel, PI Vision
• Perform testing skid upgrades in co-ordination with Equipments team
• Conduct scheduled maintenance for system test pads and maintain record-keeping
• Collaborate and effectively communicate with peers across cross-functional departments for various testing requirements
• Follow and implement defined safety procedures while running system tests
• Highlight failure modes, challenges at workplace with reporting manager and head of department

Skills Required:

• Technical knowledge in electrical/mechanical/electronics/instrumentation/electrochemistry or Fuel cell operation (preferred but not essential)
• Should have good domain knowledge and hold on subjects in the designated Diploma courses
• 7-9-year work experience in a laboratory/process industry/power plants etc.
• Basic understanding of working safely with fuels (methane, propane, etc.) and high temperature applications
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, plumbing, valves and valve operation
• Experience in basic Software such as Windows OS, MS-Office
• Good communication skills (written & verbal)
• Experience in data analytics, report generation and presentation is preferable.
• Knowledge of DCS / SCADA environment is preferred in case of experienced candidates.
• Must be a highly effective communicator at all levels (phone, e-mail & verbal)
• Ability to multi-task, reprioritize, and deliver in a fast-paced-dynamic environment.

Education:

• Polytechnic diploma in Chemical / Mechanical / Energy Systems Engineering/ Electrical/Electronics/Production/Instrumentation
• Should possess good communication skills – oral & written.

Experience: 7 - 9 years’ related experience in the above-mentioned field.
