Job Description:
The Senior Product Manager is a key leader within Bank of America’s Equity Plan Services product team, responsible for defining and delivering industry-leading solutions that support corporate clients’ financial reporting for equity-based compensation.
This role combines deep domain expertise in equity compensation accounting (ASC 718) with strong product management leadership. The Sr. Product Manager helps define and drive the product roadmap aligned to client needs and business goals, and partners cross-functionally to deliver client-centric solutions that support compliance, reporting accuracy, and client growth.
The successful candidate will act as the product authority for equity compensation accounting, translating complex regulatory requirements into differentiated product capabilities and will assist with client relationship management to understand client’s needs and how they can be supported on the platform including explaining methodologies and proving out calculations.
Responsibilities:
Domain Expertise & Product Innovation
Serve as the subject matter expert on ASC 718 and related accounting standards (including ASC 260), translating regulatory requirements into scalable product functionality
Understand system calculations and dependencies as they relate to equity-based accounting requirements, including Expense, Deferred Tax, Earnings Per Share Dilution, Disclosures, Proxy reporting and Employee Stock Purchase Plan requirements
Identify opportunities to enhance product capabilities, improve automation, and differentiate in the market
Partner with stakeholders to evaluate emerging regulatory changes and proactively incorporate them into the product roadmap
Collaborate closely with engineering, QA, operations, and client service teams to ensure product success
Product Development & Execution
Partner with engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality product features from concept through release
Define product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria aligned to business outcomes
Lead backlog prioritization and ensure delivery of high-impact capabilities
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial models and calculations through rigorous validation and testing oversight
Client Engagement
Act as a product authority in client engagements, articulating functionality, methodologies, and value proposition
Partner with sales and client relationship teams to support client onboarding, solution design, and complex inquiries
Contribute to go-to-market strategy, including product positioning and RFP responses
Own and maintain client-facing report and user guides
Required:
5–7+ years of experience in product management, preferably within financial services or enterprise applications
Hands-on experience with equity compensation accounting systems or related financial reporting platforms
Demonstrated experience delivering product features end-to-end in partnership with engineering teams
Experience working directly with clients and supporting product-driven business growth
Desired:
Background in accounting, finance, or financial analysis
Experience working with regulatory-driven products or complex financial models
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar discipline
CPA or CEP a plus
