About Us
Red Cell Partners is an incubation firm building and investing in rapidly scalable technology-led companies that are bringing revolutionary advancements to market in three distinct practice areas: healthcare, cyber, and national security. United by a shared sense of duty and deep belief in the power of innovation, Red Cell is developing powerful tools and solutions to address our Nation’s most pressing problems.
About Trase
Trase is the operating system for high-stakes environments, providing end-to-end solutions for deploying, managing, and optimizing AI within industries where security, governance, and data sovereignty are non-negotiable.
Our HIPAA- and SOC 2-compliant platform bridges the “last mile” of AI adoption, empowering sectors like healthcare and national security to run trustworthy, predictable AI agents across any model or environment—whether in the cloud, on-prem, or at the edge—with unified policy enforcement, continuous monitoring, and fully immutable audit trails.
Trase’s suite of products includes Origin, its agentic operating system; Leagues, its marketplace for specialized, configurable, ready-to-deploy agents; and Arena, where developers build, evaluate, and package the agents that run on Origin. The company has repeatedly topped Hugging Face’s GAIA Leaderboard for Generalized AI Assistants, placing it firmly at the forefront of AI-agent innovation.
About the Role
As a Staff/Senior Staff Technical Program Manager at Trase, you will own technical program execution dedicated to Red Cell Federal (RCF) and Red Cell Partners (RCP) incubations and portfolio companies. You will join Trase's dedicated RCF/RCP support team, with a strong focus on federal, government, and national security programs.
Red Cell Partners is an investment and incubation firm that builds and supports technology companies, including Trase. Red Cell Federal is our federal-focused partner within that ecosystem. This role helps RCF and other RCP partner companies adopt and operate Trase OS in their own environments. You will turn partner requirements into secure, reliable deployments and sustained operational support, with a strong focus on federal, government, and national security programs.
You will work with a dedicated team of full-stack software engineers and DevOps/SRE engineers, partnering closely with Trase Platform Engineering, Product, GRC, and RCF/RCP technical leaders. Your scope spans partner onboarding, integrations, environment readiness, releases, and ongoing support for RCF and RCP portfolio companies.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You will drive decisions, resolve dependencies, and hold delivery commitments accountable from initial request through validated customer acceptance.
Scope of Responsibilities
- Own RCF/RCP program delivery: translate ambiguous requests into scoped user stories, acceptance criteria, owners, dependencies, and small, testable milestones. Confirm feasibility with engineers before committing dates.
- Establish a single intake and prioritized backlog with Product and RCF/RCP counterparts. Distinguish production blockers, security obligations, and committed customer needs from exploratory requests; keep partner-facing plans aligned with engineering execution.
- Drive secure deployment readiness across customer-managed cloud, private-network, and on-premises environments. Track infrastructure prerequisites, access, networking, secrets, model-provider integrations, and end-to-end workflow validation.
- Partner with GRC and security owners to incorporate applicable RMF/ATO, STIG, and impact-level requirements into delivery plans. Drive engineering remediation, evidence readiness, and approval dependencies while maintaining clear Trase/RCF/RCP responsibility boundaries.
- Coordinate release and image handoffs, including versioning, compatibility, vulnerability scan results, software bills of materials, release manifests, deployment guides, and rollback readiness. Verify readiness before partner delivery.
- Drive ongoing support for federal deployments, including Second Front where applicable: track patching, hardening, upgrades, security findings, and sustainment commitments with named engineering and GRC owners.
- Coordinate partner issue triage and technical escalations across the dedicated team and shared platform teams. Drive closure of integration, performance, reliability, and observability gaps against agreed acceptance criteria.
- Build repeatable onboarding and operational handoffs through runbooks, architecture and data-flow documentation, training, and knowledge transfer so partner teams can operate and repeat deployments.
- Run planning, grooming, delivery reviews, and risk escalation. Give technical and executive stakeholders clear visibility into commitments, capacity, dependencies, tradeoffs, and decisions; surface reusable partner needs for the core platform roadmap.
Staff / Sr. Staff Expectations
- Staff: independently lead complex RCF/RCP programs across engineering, security, operations, and partner teams; resolve ambiguity and drive measurable delivery and operational outcomes.
- Senior Staff: lead a portfolio of interdependent RCF/RCP programs; shape the engagement and delivery model, influence roadmap and investment tradeoffs with senior leaders, and establish practices that scale across partner deployments.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required. Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance, as required by assigned programs.
- 8–10+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering, or related technical delivery roles, with demonstrated Staff-level scope; broader multi-program leadership and organizational influence for Sr. Staff.
- Track record of delivering complex software, infrastructure, or platform programs to external customers, including secure or regulated environments.
- Strong technical judgment and experience leading cross-team execution, prioritization, risk management, and customer-facing escalations under ambiguity.
- Clear written and verbal communication with engineers, security specialists, partner teams, and executives, including the ability to challenge unclear requirements and negotiate realistic commitments.
Technical Depth
- Understand distributed systems, APIs, agent workflows, and integration boundaries well enough to inspect technical plans, challenge assumptions, and lead tradeoff discussions.
- Experience with cloud and/or on-premises deployments, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, networking, identity/access, and secrets management.
- Working familiarity with secure software delivery, vulnerability remediation, audit logging, observability, and operational readiness.
- Ability to translate security and compliance requirements into engineering deliverables and validation evidence in partnership with GRC.
Strongly Preferred
- Prior TPM experience supporting national security, defense, federal agencies, or other government programs, including work with government customers and delivery partners.
- An active U.S. government security clearance.
- Experience navigating RMF/ATO processes, STIG hardening, POA&M remediation tracking, or DoD IL4/IL5/IL6 environments.
- Experience with Second Front or comparable federal deployment platforms, government cloud environments, and ongoing support of authorized systems.
- Experience supporting AI/ML platforms, agent integrations, or developer tools across multiple partner organizations.
Working Style
- High ownership, sound judgment, and proactive follow-through.
- Comfortable moving between technical detail and executive decisions.
- Practical, collaborative, and focused on customer outcomes and repeatable delivery.
If you want to be on the cutting edge of technology, building AI solutions for the future, and are up for a challenge, let’s talk!
