Elation is a cloud-based clinical platform for independent primary care practices. We want doctors spending their time on patients, not paperwork.
We're hiring full-stack engineers for our billing team.
Billing is a challenging domain. We receive data from insurers and partners who each follow the standards a little differently, but we need to make billing simple for our customers regardless of their payer arrangements and chase down every dollar we can for them across denials. We're using LLMs to take over a lot of work people currently do by hand. You'll design, build, and run these systems yourself.
If that sounds interesting, apply even if you don't check every box below.
You like owning a problem from start to finish. You think about how things will fail before they ship. You can identify when a problem needs a proper fix versus when a simple bandaid will do. You don't need to know healthcare billing already, but you're happy to learn it and to ask the experts a lot of questions. You can explain technical trade-offs to non-engineers. And you already use AI tools in your own work.
Each team has several engineers, an engineering manager, a product manager, and a designer. Engineers make the technical calls and work with Product on scope and priorities.
We're committed to building a diverse and inclusive engineering team. Please don't see everything in this post as a 'must have' — if you're excited about this role but don't check every box, we still want to hear from you.
We especially encourage applications from women, people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, people with disabilities, neurodivergent people, parents, carers and people from lower socio-economic backgrounds. If you have any requirements or accommodations that would help you interview or work comfortably, please let us know.
Our engineering team is fully remote and brings diverse backgrounds and experiences. This role is open to candidates in the US, Canada, and New Zealand.
Salary: $170,000 - $200,000k/yr USD OR $185,000 - $215,000k/yr CAD
