📈 Who We Are:
We are rebuilding the energy transaction, making it transparent and fair.
Our goal is to put power back where it belongs, in the hands of customers and to take on one of the most critical problems of our century, access to low cost electricity.
tem exists to fix a broken global energy market that’s long favoured legacy operators, intermediaries, and opaque pricing. Today’s electricity system was not designed for rapid decarbonisation, AI-driven efficiency or fair access for the actual users - businesses and generators.
We’ve built the first AI native transaction infrastructure to reinvent how electricity is bought, sold and priced. Our technology is designed to cut out the inefficient fees, automate complex market flows, and bring transparency and fairness to energy transactions at scale.
In late 2025, after extraordinary growth, we closed a $75 million Series B - led by Lightspeed Venture Partners with participation from Albion, Atomico, Allianz, Hitachi Ventures, Hitachi Ventures, Schroders Capital and others - positioning us for global expansion, deeper product innovation and category leadership.
We’re scaling internationally and building toward a future where AI-driven infrastructure is foundational to electricity markets worldwide.
Since launch, our modern utility product, known as RED, has already facilitated thousands of business customers and billions in energy transaction value, proving that modern software and AI can transform an industry built on legacy systems.
At tem, we’re not just building another energy company, we’re rearchitecting market infrastructure so that transparency, efficiency and sustainability become the default, not the exception.
We're hiring a Team Assistant to our CEO and CCO.
tem is rebuilding the energy transaction - transparent, fair and built on trust. Behind that mission are two co-founders whose days generate a heavy volume of admin, and the Executive Business Partners who keep them focused on the right things. You're the layer that keeps it all running.
This is a horizontal Team Assistant role, working closely with our CEO and CCO's Executive Business Partners to make sure the co-founders' day-to-day admin needs are met - inbox support, calendar management, travel, meeting prep and a steady stream of ad-hoc requests. It's not a role about picking up admin as it lands: you'll build the processes, templates and AI automations that make this layer work, and shape how it's done as tem scales. You'll also own the admin and culture layer around our Battersea office - organisation, invoices and team socials, online and offline.
In your first 12 months, you might:
Take ownership of the BAU admin layer for our two co-founders, working hand in hand with their Executive Business Partners.
Spot the recurring patterns behind one-off requests and turn them into repeatable processes, templates and AI automations.
Make the Battersea office a great place to work - organised and running smoothly day to day.
Build and run a calendar of team socials, online and offline.
Bring a point of view on what should be automated, delegated or dropped across the admin layer, and make the case for it.
Keep the day-to-day running: handle BAU admin for our CEO and CCO - inbox support, calendar management, travel and meeting prep - working closely with their Executive Business Partners.
Turn requests around fast: pick up ad-hoc asks - PA-style requests, event admin, rescheduling - and see them through to done, with proactive follow-ups so nothing sits unactioned.
Build the operating system: own how this layer of admin actually works, not just the tasks inside it - spot the pattern behind a one-off request and use AI to turn it into a process, template or automation that closes the gap for good.
Improve as we scale: bring a point of view on what should be automated, delegated or dropped - what works today won't necessarily work in a year, and you'll see it coming.
Own the Battersea office: keep it organised and running well day to day - office calendar, post, and invoices sent and paid on time with our accounts team.
Bring people together: plan and run team socials, online and offline.
Extend the layer: pick up ad-hoc requests from other Executive Business Partners across the exec team.
Must-Haves
You've supported multiple C-suite executives before, and done it well.
Process-driven - you spot gaps before they become problems, and automate the fix with AI rather than plugging it manually every time.
You genuinely enjoy admin - you find creativity in it, and get satisfaction from seeing execs' weeks run smoothly.
AI-native - comfortable using AI to absorb a high volume of admin work without dropping things. Not just asking it questions, but building processes and skills with it.
High discretion handling sensitive personal and business information.
Calm under pressure, comfortable juggling shifting priorities without dropping things.
Desirable
Previous startup experience.
You've partnered with Chiefs of Staff or Executive Business Partners before, so you know what it takes to work together across an exec's operations.
Stock options so everyone has ownership in our mission.
25 days holiday plus public holidays. Swap public holidays for the ones that matter most to you, and enjoy your birthday off.
Remote first and flexible working, with clear core hours and no internal meetings on Friday afternoons.
Up to £1,200 per year for your remote setup.
Up to £150 per month for wellbeing.
We move fast. Most processes take 2 to 3 weeks from first chat to offer. If you need us to adapt anything, let us know.
Intro call with our Talent team, 30 minutes.
Skills interview, 30 minutes.
Practical task - 3 days to complete in your own time.

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, experiences, and identities, including those that are traditionally underrepresented in the tech and energy sectors.
