We are currently seeking a technically skilled and proactive Operational / Technical Buyer – Electronics (EMS) to support our Procurement function in Virum.
In this role, you will play a critical part in managing the sourcing and procurement of electronic components and Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS).
You will work closely with our global commodity teams, engineers, and key stakeholders to ensure world-class supplier performance, cost efficiency, and supply chain resilience.
Your Role
Act as the commercial and technical interface for electronics procurement within Operations.
Drive cost optimization initiatives and identify value engineering opportunities.
Manage product lifecycle events, including PCN notifications, EOL (End of Life) and Last Time Buy assessments, and component transitions.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects through sourcing expertise and supplier engagement.
Maintain and update master data, including AVL, country of origin, customs tariffs, and RoHS/REACH compliance.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure performance and business continuity.
Partner with Strategic Sourcing to execute pricing negotiations and cost-saving initiatives.
Support the resolution of delivery issues, alternative component sourcing, and risk mitigation activities.
Organize and participate in regular cross-functional and supplier meetings.
Assist the operational purchasing team with component and service procurement through the ERP system.
Monitor and report on electronics-related spend.
Collaborate with engineering teams on Commercial Specifications (ComSpec), Engineering Change Requests (ECR), and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
Your Profile
Educational background in Electronics, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in electronics procurement and/or EMS sourcing.
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
Knowledge of electronic component markets and EMS supply chain dynamics.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems; SAP experience is an advantage.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are a plus.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
