LiveKit is the default infrastructure layer for real-time AI — the platform that gives AI the ability to see, hear, and speak. From powering voice for millions of ChatGPT users to enabling drone teleoperation at Skydio and serving as the backbone for roughly 25% of 911 emergency calls in the U.S., LiveKit handles the real-time media layer that production AI applications depend on.
Over 300,000 developers and 5,000+ companies — from leading AI labs to Fortune 500 enterprises — run production workloads on LiveKit. We've raised $181M from investors including Index Ventures, Altimeter Capital, and Salesforce Ventures, and we're growing fast.
Our product is deeply technical, and we sell into a brand-new category: voice AI infrastructure. As we grow our Sales team, our AEs, SDRs, and presales engineers need to understand how LiveKit works, and why real-time voice AI is hard, well enough to hold their own in a customer conversation.
We're hiring a Technical Enablement Engineer to own that. You'll build our technical training program from scratch, so ramp time doesn't depend on pulling engineers off the roadmap. You'll sit on the Sales team, report to our CRO, and have a direct line to the engineers building the product.
This is a hands-on, builder-first enablement role. You'll see the impact of your work directly in how fast new sellers ramp and how confident they are in front of customers.
You'll thrive here if you:
are known as the go-to person for tackling tough technical problems
can clearly explain complex technical concepts to people who aren't engineers
are a fast learner, frequently picking up new languages and tools
The best way to impress us is to build something with LiveKit and show us how you'd teach it to someone who has never touched it.
Audit what AEs, SDRs, and presales know today and where deals stall on technical gaps
Build the core curriculum: LiveKit fundamentals, voice AI architecture, agents, and the competitive landscape
Ship hands-on labs and sandboxes so sellers build something real, not just watch slides
Run technical onboarding for new AEs and SDRs, and create a clear technical learning path for presales and Solutions Architects
Certify demo and discovery readiness through hands-on exercises
Keep technical content current with every product release, working directly with engineering and product
Measure what matters: ramp time, time to first qualified technical conversation, assessment pass rates, and seller confidence
A senior-level engineer or technical founder who has shipped production software
You've taught or enabled technical content to non-engineers (sales, SEs, or customers) and have a track record to show for it
You can explain complex technical concepts simply, to any audience
You're a fast learner who ramps quickly on new technology
Ex-technical founder
Experience with voice AI, WebRTC, real-time systems, or LLM applications
Built a curriculum, bootcamp, or certification program
Ran SE or AE onboarding at a dev-tools or infrastructure company
An opportunity to build something truly impactful to the world
Competitive salary and equity package
Health, dental, and vision benefits
Flexible vacation policy
