Job Summary:
Performs analytical modeling, economic evaluations, contract administration, and regulatory support to optimize generator dispatch, strengthen renewable project development, administer operational PPOAs, and ensure accurate, compliant filings. Collaborates across internal and external teams to enhance modeling tools and workflows, resolve technical and commercial issues, support bulk power system operations, maintain regulatory and policy compliance, and contribute to operational readiness and storm‑restoration activities to improve overall system performance.Job Description:
Analyzes generation costs, transmission constraints, outage conditions, and operational performance data while developing and applying production‑cost models, dispatch analyses, and system‑metric evaluations to optimize generator dispatch, improve production efficiency, strengthen reliability, and support real‑time bulk power system operations in coordination with System Operations.
Provides analytical, economic, and technical support for renewable project development and operational PPOAs by evaluating contracts, resolving technical issues, performing cost analyses, ensuring compliance with PPOA terms, interacting with independent power producers, regulators, and counterparties, and escalating critical contract or compliance matters to leadership.
Completes rotations in Resource Planning and Analysis, Renewable Project Development, Commercial Contract Administration, and System Operation Support by analyzing production cost models, supporting renewable project development activities, interacting with operational PPOA contracts, and collaborating on economic dispatch and performance evaluation to strengthen technical, commercial, and operational capabilities.
Prepares and maintains regulatory filings, work papers, and compliance documentation by synthesizing operational data, modeling outputs, and contract terms, while collaborating with System Operations, internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulators to gather data, resolve regulatory and contract‑related issues, and support resource‑adequacy and compliance processes.
Identifies opportunities to enhance modeling processes, simulation workflows, analytical pipelines, and cost‑reduction strategies while maintaining and updating modeling tools, AI/ML methods, and analytical systems, and sharing knowledge across SSCA to strengthen organizational capability and regulatory understanding.
Follows established company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and industry regulations.
Participates in storm restoration tasks and assigned drills to contribute to the safe and reliable recovery of services.
Performs additional tasks aligned with role expectations and qualifications to support team goals and operational flexibility.
