Technical Support Engineer ( Graduate Level)

Invinity Energy Systems plc (AIM: IES) is a world-leading manufacturer of vanadium flow batteries for energy storage. Built in our factories in the UK and Canada, the Company's proven, commercialised, longer duration energy storage technology has been deployed at scale and dispatched gigawatt-hours of electricity for customers across the world.

Invinity's safe, scalable and durable battery technology is a trusted and safer alternative to lithium-ion batteries. Endurium VFBs are engineered for heavy-duty, high throughput applications, they don't wear out, cannot catch fire and are designed to be operated for 30 years or more. Our products address the challenges of our global energy system, unlocking the power of renewable generation by delivering energy storage without limits.

Responsibilities

· Commission deployed systems around the world, either onsite or remotely, and supports and trains others to perform this function safely and efficiently.

· Respond to issues escalated by field engineers, technicians, support partners, and customer support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro-mechanical equipment that includes computers, software and controls systems.

· Perform system analysis and development activities to address operational issues. This will involve complex data analysis, O&M and operational reviews, and problem solving, often self-directed.

· Develop and deliver training for internal personnel, customers and support partners, all of which may require domestic/international travel.

· Develop data analysis standards including the monitoring and assessment of system operational data to determine current and emerging issues, identifying and implementing operational optimisation strategies, and defining implementation actions to address these.

· Engage with customers on operational issues to drive system availability and operational optimisation.

· Support, and in some cases lead, sustainment activities of earlier-generation systems and components to improve performance and maintainability.

· Monitor systems in the field and provides technical support assistance. Clear and concise communication methods are required, both written and verbal, to ensure field engineers, engineering teams and customers receive and understand the relevant technical support and safety guidance.

· Support and engage in continuous improvement activities across the business. Identify, capture, document, and implement technical and process improvements within the Customer Operations group.

· Maintain good relationships with customers, and technical and managerial staff at all customer sites.
