VP, Sales (New Business)

Join AdRoll at an exciting inflection point as we evolve our go-to-market strategy and build the next chapter of our growth. As a sales leader, you’ll have the opportunity to transform and scale  our new business engine, strengthen a high-performing sales organization, and help businesses unlock the power of AI-driven advertising and marketing across NAMER, EMEA, and APAC markets.

You’ll help shape our commercial strategy, GTM approach, sales operating model, and growth plan while leading a team through a period of meaningful transformation. You’ll have meaningful ownership, executive visibility, and the opportunity to make an outsized impact by building scalable sales motions, developing great talent, leveraging AI to transform how sales teams operate, and partnering cross-functionally to drive growth.

If you’re energized by transformation, thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, and want to help shape what’s next, AdRoll offers the opportunity to lead, build, and grow alongside a talented team.

You'll report to our CEO and lead New Business Sales as AdRoll scales revenue. As the VP, Sales, you'll manage a team of ~30+ Sales talent and own new logo acquisition across our mid-market accounts and above. You'll play a key role in shaping the broader commercial and go-to-market strategy, partnering closely with Customer Success, Product, Marketing and Operations to turn our platform into new revenue.

This role is open in San Francisco, New York City, or US Remote locations.

Unsure that you check all the boxes? You should still apply! We'll review your application for other opportunities.

The impact you'll make:

• Transform and scale the new business engine: Own pipeline, new logo acquisition,  revenue performance and sales productivity,  while evolving the organization, process and operating model to support our next phase of growth.
• Shape commercial and GTM strategy: Partner with our CEO and executive team on business and revenue strategy, including market segmentation, ICP, territory design, resource allocation, sales capacity and planning.
• Build a scalable sales motion: Design and evolve your new business sales motion while building a high-performing, multi-solution sales organization through strategic hiring, coaching, and thoughtful organizational design
• Partner across the customer lifecycle: Work closely with Customer Success to create strong post-sale transitions and, more importantly, establish the foundation for retention, customer value and expansion. Partner with Product and Marketing on positioning, launches and pipeline generation, bringing market insights back into the roadmap and GTM strategy.
• Own the new business operating rhythm:  Establish rigor around pipeline health, conversion, win rates, quota attainment, sales productivity and forecast accuracy, and communicate performance, insights and actions to the executive team.
• Build momentum and shape what’s next: Establish clear priorities and measurable impact in your first two quarters, while  bringing your own perspective on  new business plan, team design and comp plan into 2027 planning.
• Represent AdRoll in the market: Build credibility with brand and performance marketers and agencies and serve as a compelling voice on programmatic advertising, adtech and the future of AI-driven marketing

Skills you'll bring:

• 12+ years of relevant sales experience with at least 6+ years of senior leadership experience selling media, programmatic advertising or adtech to mid-market accounts and above, with ACVs from 100K+.
• A strong track record of new logo acquisition: you've built a pipeline and closed new business as a seller and as a leader.
• Deep demand side expertise with a strong understanding of the adtech ecosystem.
• Mid-market sales experience, with a record of growing new business in that segment.
• Experience leading and transforming an AI-first sales team: identified where AI tools could take over prospecting, research and admin work, and trained sellers to use them to win more deals.
• Hands-on leadership: you coach deals, join key pitches and get into the details.
• Deep knowledge of the marketer's world across brand and performance marketing, and fluency in the MarTech and RevTech ecosystem.
• Experience leading a multi-level sales organization, including managers.
• A metrics-led style: as comfortable in pipeline mechanics, conversion rates and forecasting as in pitching and storytelling.
