The DuPont Water Solutions business is seeking an experienced candidate to serve as a Maintenance Planner at the Midland, Michigan site. 

The position has shared responsibility and accountability for the plant assets and the achievement of plant related business goals for Ion Exchange Resins, Copolymer, and Divinylbenzene facilities.

The Midland Ion Exchange Resins Unit is a part of Michigan Operations, one of DuPont’s largest sites and home to manufacturing operations representing each of DuPont’s 3-businesses. As part of DuPont's Water and Protection portfolio, the Water Solutions business provides purification and separations technology into multiple market channels.  Ion Exchange Resins are primarily used for water purification, food & beverage processing, and pharmaceuticals manufacturing.  These resins are also heavily used in power generation facilities that supply electrical power to consumers around the world. 

Maintenance planners provide the necessary information, specifications, etc… to efficiently schedule and execute maintenance work orders in our facilities. Fundamentally this effort focuses on describing how work is accomplished. The maintenance planner role requires a person to evaluate a work order scope, create a job planning package from the information contained in the work order, ensure all materials required for the job are available on site, and enter the planning status information into SAP.

Key essentials of this job include, but not limited to:

• Develop a detailed, accurate job plan for a work order, including job description, sequence of activities, estimates of craft hours, identification of materials and parts, safe work planning, digital camera photos annotated to show the work, sketches and drawings.
• Coordinate maintenance activities during yearly turnarounds.
• Use standardized procedures, work processes, and guidelines as per the global work process.
• Use constructability concepts, specifications, equipment and tools for the most effective completion of the work.
• Archive plans for retrieval and reuse.
• Manage planning backlog in SAP and actively monitor status of jobs until they are ready to execute.
• Planning to include the daily maintenance schedule and turn around schedule.

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum Five (5) years or more experience in maintenance, construction, and/or materials.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as word and excel, and can learn new systems quickly.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Must have strong multi-tasking, problem solving, and time management skills.
• Demonstrate leadership skills, inspire others and lead through influence.
• Must be willing and able to work in such environments wearing required safety equipment such as hearing protection, safety glasses, goggles, and steel toed boots.
• Must be willing and able to work in such environments with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
• Must be willing and able to climb stairs/ladders and working high off the ground.
• Must be willing and able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• Must have a current valid US driver’s license.
• Other assigned duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of SAP
