At JBT Marel, we are looking for an Weighing R&D Engineer who will act as a key technical expert in certification, compliance, and regulatory requirements related to weighing solutions. You will play an important role in supporting product development by ensuring that our solutions meet all applicable legal and industry standards throughout their lifecycle.

What you’ll do:
Support R&D projects with a focus on certification, compliance, and regulatory approval
Identify and interpret applicable directives, standards, and legal requirements
Act as the internal expert on weighing compliance and certification topics
Coordinate communication with notified bodies and regulatory authorities
Prepare, manage, and maintain certification documentation and technical files
Support testing and validation to ensure compliance with legal and performance requirements
Contribute to standardization across products and solutions
Ensure continuous compliance of existing equipment and manage updates when regulations change
Collaborate cross-functionally with Innovation, Supply Chain, Sales, Manufacturing, and Service
Provide clear guidance and documentation related to compliance and certification topics
Who are you?
In order to be successful in this exciting position, you need to recognize yourself in the following profile. Ideally, you bring:
A structured and methodical approach with strong attention to detail
Ability to evaluate compliance and technical performance critically
Experience managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Strong communication skills, including technical documentation and stakeholder interaction
A collaborative mindset and ability to work in cross-functional and multicultural teams
Problem-solving skills with a focus on regulatory and compliance topics
Technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems
Knowledge of certification processes, standards, or regulatory environments (preferred)
A degree in Engineering, Food Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience from manufacturing, service, or technical environments is an advantage
Good English and technical communication skills
