Novaspace is seeking a Working Student to join our Munich office, supporting our team across a diverse range of consulting, innovation advisory and business activities in the space sector.
Our team in Munich advises clients across industry, government and the wider space ecosystem. Our work spans market assessment, strategy and business planning, policy development, due diligence and M&A, innovation advisory, technology strategy & foresight, space solutions enablement, and community outreach and training.
As a Working Student, you will work alongside our consultants and contribute to client projects as well as internal activities. Depending on your interests, skills and project needs, you will gain hands-on exposure to different types of assignments and stakeholders across the European and international space ecosystem.
Conducting desktop research and qualitative and quantitative analysis on markets, technologies, companies, policies and innovation ecosystems
Supporting innovation advisory activities, including research on start-ups and emerging technologies, ecosystem and stakeholder mapping, and analysis of innovation programmes and initiatives
Contributing to market assessments, strategy projects, policy studies, technology foresight and due diligence assignments
Supporting the preparation and delivery of workshops, stakeholder engagements, training sessions and community activities
Preparing presentations, reports, briefing materials and other client deliverables
Gathering, structuring and synthesising information and translating findings into clear insights
Supporting project coordination and communication with clients, partners and other stakeholders
Contributing to internal initiatives and the development of our consulting and innovation activities
Supporting selected administrative, organisational and financial processes that help our Munich office run effectively
Hands-on experience in management consulting and innovation advisory within the space sector
Exposure to a broad range of topics spanning business, policy, technology and innovation

Ideally, you bring:
Current enrolment at a university or higher education institution
A strong academic record and intellectual curiosity
Fluency in English
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in qualitative and/or quantitative analysis
Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present information in a structured way
An interest in business, technology, policy, entrepreneurship and/or innovation
The ability to learn quickly, take ownership of tasks and work in a structured and reliable manner
The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in an international team
Curiosity, initiative and a willingness to contribute across different types of projects and activities
We do not expect candidates to bring experience in all of these areas. Relevant interests or experience could include:
Space business, Earth observation, satellite navigation, space applications or other areas of the space economy
Innovation, entrepreneurship, start-ups, technology transfer or innovation ecosystems
Strategy, market research, economics, finance or investment
Public policy, government programmes or international organisations
Technology strategy, emerging technologies or foresight
Engineering, natural sciences, economics, business, public policy or another relevant academic field
Experience organising or supporting workshops, events, training or stakeholder engagement
Working proficiency in German, French, Spanish, or another European language
