Job Description

Make Your Impact with CHEP

At CHEP, we help move more goods to more people, in more places than any other organisation on the planet. As part of the Brambles group, our circular business model keeps the world's supply chains moving while reducing waste and creating more sustainable outcomes for our customers and communities. If you're passionate about leading people, building high-performing teams and making a genuine impact every day, we'd love to hear from you.

The Opportunity

We're seeking an engaging and people-focused Afternoon Shift Supervisor to lead our production team at our modern Kemps Creek Service Centre.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your day sitting behind a desk. You'll be a visible leader on the floor, coaching, developing and supporting a team to safely deliver production outcomes while building a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture. The successful leader will inherit a team with strong capability and significant opportunity to further strengthen engagement, retention and development.

We're looking for a supervisor who genuinely enjoys leading people, creates an environment where team members can thrive, and brings energy, positivity and authenticity to work every day. Manufacturing experience is welcomed, but proven leadership capability is more important than industry background. If you've successfully led frontline teams in logistics, warehousing, retail, hospitality, transport, construction, aviation, healthcare or manufacturing, we'd love to talk with you.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Leading and developing a frontline production team on afternoon shift
• Creating a strong safety culture where everyone goes home safe every day
• Building team engagement, capability and performance through coaching and support
• Driving production, quality and customer service outcomes
• Managing shift operations, priorities and resource allocation
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site
• Partnering with maintenance and operational teams to maintain efficient plant performance
• Managing attendance, performance and employee relations matters in partnership with HR
• Contributing to a culture of accountability, inclusion and operational excellence

What Success Looks Like

You'll thrive in this role if you:

• Lead with empathy, authenticity and respect
• Know how to build trust and credibility with frontline employees
• Have a track record of improving team engagement and retention
• Are confident having both supportive and challenging conversations
• Bring positive energy and resilience to your leadership approach
• Can balance people, safety, quality and operational priorities
• Enjoy developing others and helping people achieve their potential
• Lead from the floor rather than from an office

What You'll Bring

• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced operational environment
• Demonstrated people leadership, coaching and team development capability
• Experience managing performance, attendance or employee relations matters
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Sound problem-solving and decision-making capability
• A commitment to safety and continuous improvement
• Competent computer and systems skills
• Qualifications in leadership, management, operations or a related field will be highly regarded

Why CHEP?

Make Your Impact

When you join CHEP, you're joining a business that's redefining the future of supply chains through collaboration, innovation and sustainability.

In return, you'll enjoy:

• The opportunity to lead, influence and shape team culture
• Career development and progression opportunities across CHEP and Brambles
• Ongoing leadership development and training
• A values-driven organisation committed to safety, inclusion and wellbeing
• A global business with local impact
• The chance to contribute to a more sustainable future through the circular economy
