Job Duties:
Utilizing engineering background, provide pre-sales and/or post-sales technical customer support including implementation, training, and maintenance support for Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and semiconductor intellectual property (IP).
Provide technical support to Cadence customers in the areas of Backend Digital Design Implementation and Signoff including Place and Route, Design Closure, and timing/power signoff.
Drive technical evaluations and benchmarks to success by actively participating in customer discussions and gathering requirements and strategies to win.
Guide customers on how to best utilize Cadence technologies to achieve their design goals and meet project schedules.
Work closely with R&D to enhance the tools and methodologies to meet and exceed customers’ requirements.
Drive adoption and proliferation of Cadence tools and technologies.
Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to Product Engineering and R&D teams to enhance the tool software.
Amend and augment the flow as needed.
Capture best practices and lessons learned from current evaluations and benchmarks and utilize to improve efficiency and success rate in next engagements.
Some telecommuting permitted.
Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related engineering occupation.
Low Power Design using sequencing, isolation, retention, and timing/power trade-offs
Clock Tree Synthesis (CTS) with specialized knowledge in Flex H-Tree Structures
In-design signoff flow
Routing optimization knowledge in critical net routing, parasitic management, and congestion resolution
Placement optimization knowledge in timing-driven placement and congestion-aware floorplanning
Advanced node Static Timing Analysis (STA) including nodes 7nm, 5nm, and below
Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
