Building something ambitious requires focus, resilience, and a willingness to take on challenging work. At Miris, we believe that this work can be deeply meaningful when it is supported by a strong team, a clear sense of purpose, and a shared commitment to achieving important outcomes. We are looking for people who are energized by complex problems and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
The Opportunity:
Miris is seeking exceptional and outcome-focused Applied Researchers at all levels to join our friendly and fully remote R&D team. You will navigate the fast-moving Gaussian splatting/radiance field research to find and adapt existing techniques and identify where to push beyond the bleeding edge to deliver exceptional immersive streaming experiences to low-powered mobile devices.
This is an applied role; you will take ideas from the theoretical stage, through prototyping, and all the way to successful production rollout. You will work in a highly collaborative environment, closely partnering with our rendering engineers and cloud/content processing teams to build a seamless end-to-end system that transforms varied user inputs (photogrammetry, 3D models) into exceptional spatial experiences.
As a remote-first company with a globally distributed team, we value thoughtful collaboration, accountability, and trust. We also believe that every candidate should have an ownership mindset and the opportunity to share in the success they help create, which is why stock options are a significant portion of this role's compensation package.
