Assistant Athletic Trainer (part-time, 28 hours/week)
Join BYU's Performing Arts and Dance team and provide specialized athletic training and performance care to dancers and performing artists. This position supports Dance majors, MDT majors, Dance faculty, and members of BYU's primary and secondary performance companies through injury evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, conditioning, and performance support.
Provide emergency care and referrals as needed, support dancers during classes and performances, supervise Athletic Training graduate students, and assist with facility safety and tour support. This is a unique opportunity to apply your athletic training expertise in a dynamic performing arts and dance environment.
What you’ll do in this position:
Injury Evaluation and Diagnosis
Injury Treatment and Rehabilitation
Supervise and teach/train Athletic Training Graduate Students
Prompt Documentation
Administration duties assigned by Director of Dance Medicine and Wellness Facility
Teach classes within the Dance department as requested by faculty
