Job Summary:
The University of Mississippi School of Engineering invites nominations and applications for the position of Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs. Candidates must have a PhD in a discipline represented by one of the departments in the School and a record of accomplishment to qualify for appointment as a non-tenure track or tenure track faculty. Candidates must also have experience in developing, delivering, and managing undergraduate engineering curricula.Job Description:
The Associate Dean position will report to the Dean of the UM School of Engineering. The Associate Dean assists the Dean in carrying out the mission and achieving the vision of the School. The Associate Dean works collaboratively with department chairs and others throughout the University to support the missions of the School and University. The Associate Dean will be responsible for leadership in undergraduate education within the School of Engineering. The incumbent will work closely with the staff in the Engineering Dean’s office to coordinate activities that range from recruiting students to ensuring they graduate. This position currently has four direct reports.
